==The Children==
3rd persons POV
Yara entered V's Diner. Immediately, she saw Mark waiting on her, tapping his foot and checking his watch.
"Is this seat taken?" Yara said... Mark looked up.
"Late as usual... Take a seat please." Mark said.
Yara took a seat and folded her arms.
"What do you want?" She said kindly.
"I told you, don't you dare watch my daughter. And you disobeyed."
"She is my daughter too! I made her so I should be allowed to see her!" Yara whisper-yelled, almost starting to cry.
"Why can't I see her?!" She said a little louder. Mark didn't answer.
"I SAID GOD DAMMIT! I CAN'T I SEE HER!?" She yelled for everyone in the diner could here.
"BECAUSE SHE IS NOT GOING TO COME OUT LIKE YOU! ON DRUGS AND ON THE STREET!" Mark yelled. Everyone stared at the old couple. Yara just stared straight at Mark, I tear running down her face. She silently sat down... Tears running down her face.
After five minutes of silence, She looked at Mark.
"Are you serious?" Yara said, almost starting to fully cry.
"I'm sorry, Yara..." Mark said, almost starting to cry also.
Yara slowly got up as Mark did the same. She just sped walked out of the Diner while Mark kept saying her name and the "I'm Sorry"s..
"Yara? Yara?!" Mark called for her and almost grabbed her arm but it was too late.
Mark's P.O.V
And that's it. She just sped out.
I lost her... I knew it... My first try would be my last chance...
I lost her...
forever.
Audrey's P.O.V
I saw the girl that Dad was talking to outside of the house. She put on her hood and ran away. I followed. I want to know who she is. I NEED to know who she is. She comes around all the times just for Dad to yell at her. Why does he treat her like that? I don't think she is a bad person because she cries everytime she leaves. Dad tells me to never... EVER... go near her. If she comes your way, walk away, and NEVER LOOK BACK! That is what he always says but I don't trust him. I see her around the house when she is not supposed to and she looks through Dad's window. She is very suspicious. What is she hiding and what does she want from my father? There's only one way to find out right? Let's go.
I followed her to a nearby trash can, she dug in it. I'm not too sure what she wanted or what she was looking for. All of a sudden, she pulls out something from the dirty can. A... A camera? She opened the camera, I assume that she was looking at footage. She looked at it and listened close. She looked shocked and almost starting crying. The question is... Why?
I was very satisfied with finding out things about about her. I don't know why but she is also wanting information from my father. She then starting crying and ran.
"Wait!"I yelled. She doesn't know it was me or who I am. She dropped the camera. I needed to find out who she is but I want to know what was on the camera. I had to choose quick. Do I find out who she is? Or what she wants? I ran for...
Connor's P.O.V
I waited by the window for Audrey to come back. She was taking too long, I was about to check on her until I saw Dad's car pull in the parking lot. I was so scared. I didn't want to get in trouble and lose ice cream again just because of Audrey again! I ran around the room trying to figure out what to do until I heard Dad come into the house. Oh no! What do I do!? I then heard his footsteps coming upstairs. ...
Mark's P.O.V
I walked upstairs to check on the kids after seeing Yara. Before I went into the room, I listened in a bit. I didn't hear anything but shuffling. Of course, I was a little wonderous, but they are good kids, I know they would never do anything behind my back. I sighed and walked into the room. The lights were off, the night light was on. They were asleep. Good. They don't have to see my meltdown again. I just smiled at the sight of them sleeping. I hope they don't grow up to be like me.
"I love you both, and I hope you know that. I hope you don't become daddy when you grow up. Goodnight kids."
I whispered to them. I love my kids and I hope they know it, even tho I'm not around anymore. I hope they grow up to know that they are worth living. I had to take Audrey to a psychologist recently. They think she is crazy. I don't believe it. She is the strongest child on the earth, and Connor is too. He knows that he is my superhero.
I closed the door and went downstairs and sat on the living room couch. I've been stressed a lot recently. I grabbed a plastic bag and pour all the bill on the living room table to see what was next. Water bills and light bills... Things can be better. I look down and I felt so ashamed. I might lose the house because of me. Where are my kids going to sleep? Calm down me... It didn't happen yet. I'll just try my best. God will help me.
