The next day, I went into town.
I found Ayame's small shop and his assistant, Mine, came running to me and shoved a bunch of clothing into my face. They usually consisted of shorts, sweaters, mini dresses, boots, vans, and tops. Ayame gave them to me half off. Lucky me. I said my thanks and left with the bags.
Arriving home, I noticed Tohru was the only one home. "Hey, Chi-san! That's a lot of bags you got there? Do you need any help?"
"I'm quite fine, thank you. Besides, some are for you, courtesy of Ayame."
"Wow, you know so many Sohmas! May I ask how?"
"Well, you know a lot of them too. 13 right?"
"Yes."
"Well, fourteen."
"What?! You're a Sohma too? What's your animal? Oh! I'm sorry! Was that too invasive?"
"I guess you'll find out sooner or later."
Suddenly, there was a crash in the living room. Slamming the screen open, I caught a burglar right in his act.
"A burglar? Now? It's barely midday!"
A wind swept around us and my hair lifted up as a shadow swept across my face. I smirked widely. "Oh? An unwanted visitor? Leave before I tear you apart."
The man stopped in fear and dropped everything he was holding. Screaming, he ran out the door, deeper into the forrest.
"That was kind of scary," Tohru commented. "Well, I should go prepare lunch."
Shortly after she walked away, Master Kazuma knocked on the door. "Master! I missed you greatly!" I hugged him. He hugged back as I put him into a headlock.
"You were taught well," Kazuma smiled. "Oh, you must be Tohru Honda."
"Yes, S-sir! Nice to meet you!" Kazuma pulled me aside. It started to rain.
Not to mention, Kazuma brought Kagura in. Everyone was in a funk, especially Kyo.
"Tell Akito it's time," he commanded. I nodded and dialed the number. "That girl. She—"
"Could be Kyo's salvation. Or make him go deeper into his grave."
Kazuma nodded to me and walked out to tell everyone. Oh goody, even more crappy moody people.
"Hello?" Hatori picked up the phone.
"Hi Hari-san. I need to talk to Akito-sama."
"Of course."
"Oh, my little wolf. Hello," Akito greeted.
"Hello, lord. Kazuma plans to reveal The cat's true form."
"I see. I want you to watch them, alright. In wolf form. I'm coming in a bit to discourage her."
"Yes, Akito-sama," I smiled. "See you soon."
We both hung up as I stared out the window, watching Kyo and Kazuma.
"Master, you know I don't like the rain. What's so important I had to be out here?" Kyo grumped.
Tohru was walking up with a bag of groceries. "Hopefully Tohru will be the one to mend your broken heart." Kazuma said and grabbed his wrist where the juzu beads were.
I brushed my fingers over my own bracelet.
"Master! Do-" Kyo tried to say as he morphed into his True Form.
"This is the cat's true form: it's ugly, smelly, repulsive. Are you scared, Tohru Honda?" Kazuma said as Akito's car pulled up. Kyo ran deep into the forest. Tohru was rooted to the spot.
What will she do now? She has no where else to go. It's either chase after Kyo, or break his heart even more. Believe it or not, he's a fragile person. I mean, his poor mother, committed suicide, father not even sparing a glance at the child. I feel it. His cat spirit is still hurt greatly. Even as I am the loyal wolf, I did not enjoy the banquet. For my best friend was missing it all and God forbade me from going to him. He had said, 'It's his own fault. I gave him a great opportunity and this is how he repays me?'
We, as the wolf, are loyal to our God, but we still have our wings of freedom. Our wings allow us not be completely smothered by the God's power. Even though we are far more powerful than him. Our True form is a rare beauty, and is admired greatly.
Unlike our stupid evolution, the dog, we are not tame. We do not eat out of bowls; we hunt and rely on our packs for help. The dog relies on his human, who feeds him crappy man-made food. I'd say the dog isn't an evolution, but a de-evolution.
Indeed. Wolves were born with freedom. Wolves were taught to survive. To fight.
"Aaah! Kyo! Wait!" Tohru shrieked and chased after him.
"Chizuru, now's the time," Akito commanded. I leaped out of the window, morphing into my wolf form. My white fur instantly became soaked, my paws turning brown from the mud. My tail whipped around in the wind, as well as my black and blue scarf I wore. The symbols around my neck and on my forehead glowed slightly. I crouched to allow Akito to sit on my back. It would take him forever to walk to Tohru. I ran as soon as he got situated. I sniffed the air as Tohru's scent waffled through the air. I scrunched up my nose but continued anyway.
