On the following weekend at Tsukuba, several illegal street racers arrive at the circuit to prepare for the race. Among them were the drivers of the Kenmeri Skyline and the Evo which were being inspected accordingly, it was somewhat a surprise for both Alwyn and Ichiro who previously met on a race that previously occurred on the Wangan. "I knew you'd come about!" Ichiro said and chuckled, "I didn't want to sit this one out." Alwyn responded. "Well you're lucky that they'll be needing the top two, let's see how you'll like being silver." The young Japanese lad said to the Welshman, "Two of you, inspections done and you're good to go." a mechanic in the Donington racing team before Alwyn could respond. "Only fate will decide who's gonna get a silver, it'll be scary enough if none of you are getting the top two." the same mechanic then followed up on Ichiro's taunt to the Welshman, "i'm just praying to the gods that he's wrong, let's go." Alwyn said before the two entered their respective vehicles. As the two lined up at the starting grid with four other stock looking vehicles, a man with a bundle of folders containing documents entered one of the pit garages and began to talk to the Donington Motorsport team regarding the people entering the audition. It was the English team chief known as Nigel Sharpe, the man that the top two winners will be listening to throughout the coming season in the JGTC. "Right, let's see who we have on this event." Nigel said as he opened the first folder to reveal information for the certain Welshman in the '73 Skyline and shared it with the lead mechanic as the others watch the cars that were about to launch forward as the green light signaled the racers on the starting grid. "Let's see here...Alwyn Thomas Maddock, born in Powys in 1998. Well look at that, Jim. It's a Welshman just like you. Previously lived with his parents in...oh god. it's that place in Anglesey, currently self-employed as an independent mechanic according to a drafted resume to Aston Martin Japan which he decided to submit to us for some reason. This man may seem capable for the engine bay but we'll see how good he'll do at the track, moving on." Sharpe read out to the lead mechanic who would then open the second folder and read out the info of Alwyn's newfound rival in the Mitsubishi, "Ichiro Yoshida, born in the Minato ward in Tokyo in 1995. He was recently fired from one of Mitsubishi's manufacturing plants after he was caught street racing in a defective Evo X that he stole off the assembly line, didn't think he'd have the bollocks to do that." Jim remarked. "That is quite unusual, here's to hoping that Evo will hold up" Nigel said before glancing to the screens showing the two drivers battling it out on the track, not knowing who'll come out on top. Several minutes later, Alwyn suddenly pulled up to the very top of the board just above Ichiro as the engine powering the antique of a sports car screamed it through the finish line. Ichiro was quite surprised as he came second and followed the old Skyline to the pits in his Evo, the two came out and confronted each other just for a compliment and a laugh. "Whatever the hell you have under that bonnet certainly knew how to put up a fight." Ichiro said to Alwyn, "RB26, it's a real miracle if you find the right parts for it." the Welshman said then shrugged. "Well you won't be so lucky next time, i'll see you in Hiroshima." Ichiro responded before the two happily decided to shake their hands on it, they eventually left the circuit and headed home to prepare for the next race in Hiroshima where race 2 of 3 will take place in the following week. Alwyn eventually arrived at his home in Shimotsuma which is where the track was located, it was however more of a garage than a house as it was just a garage in a very remote part of the town with a second floor which pretty much has what Alwyn needs. A kitchen, a living room, bed, computer, shelves of books and vinyl records and most of all, a banging stereo for his tunes. Once he parked the old Skyline inside the garage and closed the shutters, the air conditioner kicks in along with the stereo playing Japanese synth pop from the 1980's. Once he climbed up the stairs, he got comfy in the sofa and placed everything he brought in his pockets on the glass coffee table in front of him and sat back for a few minutes before standing up once more to get his dinner ready.

Meanwhile in an apartment building in Tokyo, Donington Motorsport's team chief Nigel Sharpe sat on his sofa and looked at the blank TV screen before taking a glance at a framed photo of him in a combat uniform crouching next to a dog, he used to be an engineer in the British Army but ended up resigning after having seen enough of the action in the Middle East. On the present day, he had already come a long way from being one of Donington Motorsport's founding member to actually leading a team in the JGTC. He then let out a smile and picked up the remote and turned on the TV, sitting back before watching a news segment on a motorsports channel. He later on thought of the upcoming race in Hiroshima, suddenly concerned of the two boys who won the first race in Tsukuba. He eventually looked into their documents and began went off to get a drink from the refrigerator, studying the specs of their cars which were noted down by the mechanics.
