On the following morning, there were now a hundreds if not thousands taking their seats, excited for the first round of the Super GT series. In the pit garage the Listers are being prepped for the team's international debut, Alwyn and his assigned teammate Ichiro prepare themselves for something that they never expected themselves to take part of, their very first circuit race with proper regulations. "I never thought we'd make it all the way here..." the Welshman said to his Japanese teammate, "Neither did i, i never even thought i'd be racing with someone like you." Ichiro then responded to him. "This is gonna be a bloody hell of a thrill..." Alwyn said as the two then had a handshake before boarding their respective vehicles and took their positions at the starting grid, this was an event to remember for the two drivers of the Donington Motorsport team, a start to an amazing career. Once all the cars competing in the event took position at the starting grid, the spectators and the grid girls cleared off the track in preparation of the race that is about to begin. Once the starting line was finally clear, the countdown began, prompting the drivers to rev up their engines. Three, two, one and away the cars go, launching out of the starting grid and proceeded to the race. Out in the lead were the two Filipino drivers in their Lexus RCF's, trying as much as they can to prevent anyone from taking the lead. Nigel Sharpe, the crew chief for Donington was watching closely as the two Listers make several attempts to pass the RCF's without making any physical contact. It was impossible Alwyn thought as he continues to make attempts to pass the opponents in front of him, thinking of a way to try and get the two Filipino drivers to slow down for him and Ichiro. After a few moments of brainstorming and a couple of laps, the young Welshman finally thought of a way to get past the RCF's. "Nigel, patch me through to Ichiro." He requested his crew chief to patch him through to his teammate in the other Lister which has been stuck in fourth place for several laps, Alwyn was then patched through to Ichiro, granting him access to his comms. "Ichiro, see if you can tap him in the back. If one of 'em hits the brake, take your chance." Alwyn said to his teammate, showing a bit of cooperation for the first time of many in the season. On a long straight before the hair pin, Ichiro's Lister was just behind Tanedo who was still in second place. As Ichiro closes in on the RCF's behind, Tanedo tries to brake check the Japanese driver in the Lister. Ichiro however dodges the bullet without a single scratch, paving his and Alwyn's way to the top two. The two Donington Listers eventually pass Lopez at Hobbs and lead their way to the second half of the race, with just about 12 laps to go. After several more laps, the two teams pulled into the pits changing tires and refueling the cars. Upon leaving the pits, the Donington try to retake the lead and outrun the RCF's as far as they can. After a couple more laps of defending their positions, they were now in the final lap. "First victory of many, Ichiro?" Alwyn asked his Japanese teammate who is still in second place, "Aren't you the one in the lead, Alwyn?" Ichiro reminded him as they approach the finish line from the Mike Knight corner. "Let's do it, then." The Welshman said as he hammered down on from the last corner and into victory as he and Ichiro cross the line, giving Donington their first team victory in the Super GT series. The pit crew members were celebrating and so were the drivers taking their victory lap and then pulling into the pits where they emerge victorious in the first round of the season, taking it to the winner's circle where the drivers take their awards for winning their first ever proper circuit race. Even after all that, Alwyn and Ichiro still couldn't believe that they won their first race in the Super GT which was a dream for both of them.
Some time after Donington's glorious debut in Okayama, the team were just about done celebrating their first win in the series with some sushi in one of the best places for such in Tokyo. As the Welshman makes his way to his Kenmeri Skyline to call it a day, a familiar voice however got his attention. "Alwyn Maddock!?" An attractive yet familiar young woman with brown hair called out to her, Alwyn promptly looked in her direction and couldn't believe her eyes. "Yumiko?" The Welshman asked if it was really her, Yumiko Minami who happened to be the girl with the lacrosse racket, the girl he saved from the foreign-looking adversaries back in Hiroshima. Yumiko then ran to him and hugged him happily, glad that she got to see him for the first time since the Sunday Cup. After a sort of emotional reunion, Alwyn and Yumiko got in the car and rolled their way out of the car park. "So how've you been?" He asked as he took the wheel and drove the car at a careful pace, "Doing well, i'm actually here to apply for college." Yumiko answered him. "College, eh? That's great, Yumiko." Alwyn replied, "How about you? I heard you won that race yesterday, i'm so proud of you!" she said to him, causing Alwyn to give a bit of a smile. "Thank you, Yumiko. It means a lot to me." He responded, "We should celebrate some time, maybe with sushi?" she asked the Welshman who just had his stomach stuffed with sushi. Alwyn looked at her with that smile on his face, thinking about somewhere better as the car cruised along the city streets in a busy Tokyo afternoon.
