-Cyrus-

I shuffled through the clothes Andy and Buffy bought me. I really wish they hadn't.
I stared at a grey "dark side of the moon" t-shirt. I guess I could wear long sleeves underneath.

"You guys should return these," I said. "A lot of short sleeves. I'm not going to wear them."

"Maybe one day you'll be comfortable wearing them," Andi suggested tentatively.

My eyes widened for a second and grinned. Sometimes I can't tell if they're being serious.
"Yeah, okay."

"Come on," Andi gently said.

"Andi," Buffy whispered as she nudged Andi's arm.

Andi is sweet, but Buffy understands me more. Andi can be a little insufferable sometimes.
"Your arms don't look that bad"
"Your experiences make you stronger"
"You're responsible for your own happiness"

I can't imagine my life without her right now, though.

Andi sprung off of the bed and grabbed a shirt from the small pile I was sifting through.
"What about this?"
She held up a black long sleeved shirt with nothing but a little red heart at the center of the chest.

"I'll keep that. I'll pay you back for it."

Andi ripped off the tag and tossed the shirt at me.
"No you won't," she smiled.

"I'll assume it was about 20 dollars," I said. "Anne and Richard already bought me some clothes."

"Anne and Richard," Buffy said with a smile as she sat down at my desk chair. "Sound like such an ideal white suburban couple except the husband is secretly cheating on the wife."

I rolled my eyes at the joke, but she's right.
"M-maybe." I shrugged.

"So cynical," Andi scrunched her face and messily folded a shirt.

Anne and Richard love eachother. I think they're the first healthy couple I've ever been placed with. I don't think Richard likes me very much at all. I think Anne likes me enough to pretend that she cares about me more than she does.

"Cy! Buffy! Andi!" Anne called from downstairs.

"Food!" Buffy yelled as she ran out of the room.
Buffy loves food. She's in a culinary program at school.

I apprehensively followed the girls down the stairs. I'm not looking forward to dinner.

We walked into the kitchen and were assaulted by the strong smell of Indian chicken curry. I felt sick immediately.

"I tried something different tonight," Anne announced.

"It smells amazing," Andi said as she eyes the food. Anne made curry, rice, and naan.

"Sit," Richard said happily as he motions to the chairs around the table.
Andi and I sat next to eachother, across from Anne and Richard. Buffy sat at the head of the table by Richard and I.

"In India, they eat with their hands," Anne says. "But we aren't gonna do that tonight."

Richard smiles. He likes having Andi and Buffy around. He probably wishes they got a foster kid more like them.
