Over the edge

Mum slapped me and I fell on the floor. I was in the loss of words. I couldn't speak.. then I heard the door opened. Marcus and Martinus. They looked at me and ran to my side.

Martinus: Are you okay? What happened? Do you need some water?

Me: I'm ok. Just get my mum out of here.

They looked at each other and nodded. Then they called someone to get her out. I looked up at Marcus and he smiled to me. Then I looked at Martinus and he was daydreaming. I waved my hand in front of his face.

Me: Earth to Martinus!

Martinus: Uhh.. sorry..

Me: It's ok. Thanks for standing up for me. Anyway, what's the deal between my mother and you two?

Martinus: I don't know.

Marcus: Me neither.

They helped me up and we went out of this room. Tomorrow I need to go to school.

Me: How is to be in school?

Marcus: It's great.

Me: Can you tell me some things that I need to know?

Marcus: You've got a best friend and her name is.. her name.. ummm..

Martinus: Lucy.

I started to imagine what she could look like. Maybe short brown hair and brown eyes? Or long blonde hair and blue eyes? Uhh, I guess I'll see tomorrow.

Me: Anything else?

Martinus: There's also your other friend Anna? Yeah, I believe her name is Anna.

Marcus: A lot of people will rush to you when you come to school so don't get scared. Try to pretend that nothing's wrong. If they annoy you, call me or Martinus. And avoid popular girls.. you'll know who they are immediately.. now I think that's all..

Martinus: *Ahem*What about*ahem*group?

Marcus: Stop it.

Martinus: There's Marcus' group of boys and avoid them too.

I saw how he punched him lightly in the stomach. I looked around and then saw all of the things ready for photoshoot. Marcus and Martinus walked over there and there came a photographer. She took a few pictures and then they came back to me. Now I need to go home and prepare for tomorrow and for school. I know it's soon, but I need to. I hope I'll be able to learn all and stuffs like this.

Me: I'll go now guys. See you tomorrow. Bye.

Marcus: Bye.

Martinus: Yeah, bye.

I turned around, opened the doors and walked out. Mum was waiting all angry here for me, two another persons beside her. Mum came to me, grabbed me under my arm and pulled me with her outside and to the car. She was red in her face and she was driving like crazy. Soon we were home and we walked out of the car and in the house. I stepped inside and ran upstairs. Mum called me back and slapped me again.

Mum: What the fuck do you think you're doing?!?!

Me: What?!

Mum: You should sing and stay away from those fucking GUNNARSENS!!!

Me: Nooo!!! They're my friends and I'll stay with them!! You can do what you want, I'll be their friend forever!

Mum slapped me once again and I went up in my room. I locked and throw myself in the bed. I grabbed my pillow and started to cry. Why? I just wanna be a normal girl like every other, I wanna recover like all the girls need to. I don't remember my career or anything, but for mum this is the most important thing. Like she can sing!!

I heard a noise. Then someone threw something in my window. I got up and went to see who is there. When I looked outside, I saw a boy standing there. I opened the window and looked at him. He smiled when he saw me.

Boy: Hey Rain! I came to see if you're really back. Can I come up?!

Me: First, who are you?!

Boy: It's me, Mathias! Your good friend. You know, hanging sometimes at school. I thought that you want some company so I came here.

Me: Uhh, that would be nice, but I wanna be alone.

Mathias: Ok, then I guess I'll see you tomorrow.

He waved to me and walked away. So I know about one friend. Tomorrow I need to try find my other friends. So I walked back to bed and flopped myself on it. Then I heard walking and banging on my doors. It was mum again.

Mum: Rain open up! Who were you talking with?!

She got over the edge. I tried to hold it in but now I bursted in anger. She's my mum but she can't treat me like a toy. I walked to the doors and opened them. She was standing there angry.

Mum: Care to explain why the fuck are you locking yourself in the room?!?

Me: Mum, you went over the edge! I've got enough of this shit, you treating me like a toy! Why don't you look me in the eyes and tell me what you see?! LOOK!!

I pointed at my face and she looked scared. I'm taller than her and stronger but it's the first time that I see her scared. I shut the door and lay down on the bed. Tomorrow will be a very important day and I don't wanna screw up. But I also want that mum would come with me. Well I guess not. Whatever, I don't need her, I can go alone or with Marcus and Martinus or with Mathias. I'm sure someone will be with me. Then I drifted off to sleep.
