Author's pov

It was a cold dark night with chilly breezes striking at your face, making your bones shiver with the cold, making you realise that it is the peak of winter here in Korea. Warm breaths coming out everytime someone tries to speak. This night is especially cold from all days in the month of December but the cold didn't bother one person. Walking slowly, thinking to himself as if nobody else is walking around him. Given his striking features and unavoidable physique, anybody living in today's world could make out that he was a celebrity but maybe because of his black overcoat or maybe because of the dark surroundings, nobody did and he monotonously kept walking, finally taking a cab (because he couldn't drive himself). Although nobody noticed, the aura he gave off was good enough for a person in their youth to easily recognise him, or at least make out that he was an idol, his bright red hair under his black cap sufficing to it. With vague memories, reminiscing about the past, he gave the address to the driver.

Looking outside the window one could tell that it was almost midnight as shops were already closing and there were lesser people going around on the streets. Although Seoul was a place which was even more active after midnight than at daytime, with all the nightclubs and bars, this part of the city had a completely different story. Hannam the Hill, from where he started in the cab was one of the quietest places in Seoul, thanks to all the big residential villas and apartments. And the person sitting in the cab couldn't be more thankful. Taehyung, or V, as most people would know him by is a member of an immensely popular group, BTS. But with popularity comes criticisms and bigger hardships. Taehyung had lived most of his life since the beginning of his career as V and not as Kim Taehyung. This identity crisis was not just felt by him, but was also the reason of struggle for the other six of his brothers. Maybe this is why he left the dorm without saying anything to anybody at the middle of the night cuz he didn't want to trouble them anymore. As small as this problem seems to normal people, it was one of the biggest challenges for every celebrity, regardless of nations or genders. And given the global popularity of BTS, it can be understood that how difficult it must be for them. It had been especially hard on them lately, since the beginning of the year to be exact, with all the tours and packed schedules.

But Taehyung was feeling this depressed for another reason today. This another reason acted as a fuel to his already sad state and made him rush to somewhere else in a windy cold night, leaving his perfectly comfy and warm bed and blanket. This reason, which happens to be a 'she' is sitting in the closed space of her own single room of hers and her other members' dorm. Irene, or bae joohyun, leader of the group Red Velvet, had been on taehyung's mind since months and this feeling was reciprocated by her as well. Sitting on the couch in the middle of the living room, she is thinking of what her life has become, between continuous packed schedules and practice sessions, she forgot to live her life. Between these thoughts, her mind always wanders off to someone else, who at the moment was in a cab making his way to her place.

Things were different when these feelings first started lingering in both of them. Red Velvet had just debuted and BTS, although were their seniors, hadn't tasted much success. As cliche as it sounds, it wasn't until a few stares and moments they had shared in a certain year-end festival that they started looking at each other in a different light. They met at broadcast stations while promoting together and at occasional yaar-end festivals and a few common friends who helped them connect, even if it was only digitally. It wasn't until early 2016 that they really started talking and slowly started depending on each other, sharing their deepest thoughts, looking out for each other, to the extent of both agreeing that there was something special between them. Their group members had an idea and teased them about it.

They were both so engrossed with each other that it became really difficult for both of them when they had to part ways because of some differences. They didn't blame each other but time. And with both of their minds filled with these thoughts, the cab came to a halt in front of a well-maintained, high profile looking apartment.

Taehyung got off with a heavy heart, he didn't even know if he was gonna do it. Nevertheless, he got off, adjusted his mask and paid the cab driver. Breathing in the surroundings, feeling the fresh, night breeze hit his face, he entered the building, in which one is the flats was known to be red velvet's dorm. The security guard didn't even raise his sleepy eyes up and just asked him to sign on a particular 'Visitor's Register'. Taehyung kept on adjusting his mask and cap to make sure he is unrecognisable and went straight into the elevator. He remembered Hoseok saying their flat number while talking about his 'friend' Wendy and pressed 15. With every ting sound of the floors passing, he was having second thoughts but as soon as her picture came into his mind, he was sure he was gonna do it. The elevator opened as he went straight to the door of 1504 and with a pounding heart pressed the digital calling bell.
