Two hours. One hour. Fifty. Thirty. Ten. Five. It's time to go.
It wasn't every day that Alex did this, but today she was. Today she was leaving. She was breaking the norm and going somewhere new. Someplace extravagant . Her dream was coming true. In two short hours she would be out of her house and on a plane to Ireland.
She didn't know why she was so drawn to the country but she was. Maybe it was the lush green fields of crops soon to be. Maybe it was the intriguing history. Or the Architecture of the buildings that seemed to just fall into place. She didn't know.
Though naturally, she was more drawn to the country side rather than the city. Of course the city was nice and all but the country side; well that, that she thought was astonishing. But, the pictures were never enough. She had to see the real thing. See it. Breath it. Live it. Love it.
Now it was only a short while until she was there. Just from her little town that nobody ever heard of. She wanted a change. She wanted a new way of living. She didn't want to live in a town where everybody knew everybody. She just wanted to have a bit of her OWN life. One where no one was contently looking for gossip and drama.
She was already in the car by now. Only two hours left. Soon she would be on the plane, listening to her favorite playlist with her favorite head phones. Maybe she could try to draw a bit. Alex never goes anywhere without art supplies. Even a folder with printer paper and a few pencils would satisfy her. Just anything she could draw on with she would use. In high school she used to get in yelled at for drawing on her arms by multiple people. She doesn't do it anymore because she realized how that could effect her but every once and a while when she gets nervous she would doodle on the palm of her hand with a pen. But not now. No, now was the most exiting part of her life. Not now. Not nervous. She couldn't be, right? I mean it was only the one thing that gave her hope that she would get out of her STUPID town right? NO! NO NOT NOW. I can't be nervous now. If I panic now, no one would think that I could do it on my own. Just hold my breath until I don't feel like crying anymore. That should do it. I hope. Oh geez.
