Gothem High University was like a gothic cathedral had a child with an even more gothic castle. It's imposing spires stood tall with a foreboding aura surrounding them. Lofty pointed arch's over-hanged thick wooden doors which adorned heavy knockers. Gargoyles perched on high corners, their faces more hideous and twisted then the ones before. Flying buttresses jutted out from high walls with banners hanging from them, upon those dark gray banners held our school mascot, the vampire bat. Cheerful right?

The entire school just gave off a dark, brooding vibe, I loved it here.

As Cassandra and I entered the campus I turned to her, "What do you think Professor Crane will have us do in psychology today Cass?" Cassandra snorted, "I don't know I sleep in his class." "You wonder why you're failing his class," I responded, "that's why."

A group of people were walking in our direction and when they were close enough Cassandra glared at them and they gave her a wide berth trying hard not to get on her bad side. They were practically tripping over themselves in attempt to stay away from her. One of the perks of being friends with Cassandra was that people would tend to stay away from her which meant whenever I was with her I wouldn't have to worry about being bullied and harassed or anything.

She's my only friend.

Everyone knew who my father was and what had done, the famous 'Cluemaster' who robbed twelve banks and probably much worse. As my mind wandered about my father and how he ruined me and my mother's life I never saw the unknown figure barreling right at me.

"WATCH OUT!" I glanced up at the source of the shout...just in time to get tackled onto the ground. Grass tickled my cheeks as I glanced at my assailant, he appeared to be
5'5'' same as me, his playful blue eyes were full of mischief like he was formulating a prank in his head. He also had side swept hair and a sterling white smile.

I was about to apologize when he was lifted off of me by a very enraged Cassandra who got only inches away from his face and shouted, "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE PUNK!" Upon hearing the commotion other students stoped what they were doing and watch quietly. I turned my attention back to the boy who was more then likely about to have the fear of God put in him.

Though judging from his already pale white complexion that fear was already inside him.

I genuinely thought that he would pass out, wouldn't be the first time that has ever happened, but instead he simply smiled and spoke, "Well I would like to start off by saying my what strong arms you have." Did he really just antagonize her. I expected Cassandra to bloody his face, again it wouldn't be the first time, but instead she just dropped him on the ground and walked over to me.

She held her hand out which I accepted and got off the ground. When I stood up I turned my attention to the guy who ran me over. "You running from the cops or something?" I asked him in a tone that was dripping with sarcasm.

He gave me an apologetic smile and held out his hand, which I shook, "Yeah sorry about that, I'm new to this school and I don't really understand my schedule so I was rushing around trying to find out where all my classes are."

I held out my hand, "Can I see your schedule?" He nodded and gave me a slip of paper. I looked it over and handed it back to him. "Well your first class appears to be Art with Miss Kyle, and second hour with Professor Crane in psychology with me and Cass.

He eyed Cassandra cautiously and turned his gaze back to me, "Awesome what's next?"

"Well you then have Gym with Coach Dorrance a.k.a Coach Bane, and for fourth hour you'll have history with Mr. Al'Ghul, same as me, then there's lunch.
