As we drove to my house, my mind and heart was racing. I kept trying to read my dads mind to get more details, but he's learned to clear his thoughts around me. We pulled into the driveway and I threw the door open, racing into the house.

I ran up the stairs to my room and quickly changed into my uniform. I sprinted back downstairs and we continued on to the military base.

Once again, as soon the car stopped, I pushed through the door. I was pulled back by my fathers hand entangled in my hair, he dragged me back into my seat.

"Be aware," he scowled, "It's not a pretty sight."

I swallowed the knot forming in my throat and nodded. He let go of my hair and I got out of the car, more cautious and less eager to see my mom. I flew through security, my father walking behind me was my only identification needed to get through.

"Mom!" I yelled, looking around the med bay. My dad placed his hand on my shoulder and pointed to the left, past a few patients, machines and nurses.

I ran through the maze of people and medical equipment, twisting and turning to make it to her as quickly as possible.

I froze in my tracks. Tears pricked my wide eyes, I threatened them not to fall. "...mom.?" I took a step forward and put my hand on the railing of her bed.

Half her face had turned into melted strings of skin, turning black and blue on the ends. The texture looked like hair or wire, like melted plastic or something. Most of her body looked like this, radiating from her chest.

I tightened my grip around the bar as my legs became weak. My arms and entire body began to shake. I couldn't say anything, I knew my voice would tremble if I tried as I looked upon her breaking body.

Her eyes flicjed to the left where I was standing. "D-on't cry my b-oy." Her voice was broken and weak, as if she were really sick. "I'll be f-ffii-"

"N-no mom, you're not you're gonna-" I bit my lip and looked down at my hands, my knuckles had gone white with my grip.

"As l-long aas youu're okayy, I-I'll be ffiinee." I looked at her and to my surprise she was smiling. Her hand lifted up and wiped my cheek of tears. "Pleasse, Don-n't crry."

It was only then that I realized I had actually started crying, hot tears were running down my face.

"Mmass-Masaruu.." My father stood behind me. "Anyy luckk findingg the villaainn..."

My eyes snapped open, I stared into hers. He probably won't reverse his quirk, but it's worth a shot..

"There's a way to fucking save her?!" I yelled, turning to my father.

My father slapped his hand across my face. "Watch. Your. Mouth. It's not likely that he would even reverse his power anyway. Besides that, he's not here so we can't even try." He grumbled with a scowl.

I turned and began to stomp away, anger flooding my mind. I was held back by my fathers hand around my wrist. "And where do you think you're going?"

"Where do you think?" I growled, staring him in the eye.

I can't allow you to do that. You're a valuable weapon under my rule, you will do as I say.

You won't allow me to go back to school?

Don't even try that with me.

Let go.

My father glared, silent. He huffed then let go. I pulled away and stormed out of the military base.

In the car, I realized I don't have anything. Not a name. Not a way to track this guy. No specification to his quirk.

I had to either go back to school or back into the medical bay. As much as I wanted to be with my mom, I didn't want to be with my father; I sat in the car, contemplating my decision.

I tapped my foot over and over, and practically ripped my hair out as I stressed over what I should do. I looked up to the rear view mirror at my driver.

The battlefield was like something from a nightmare, this kids mom won't live much longer...

I slammed my fist down, "You know where she got hurt!? Take me there now!"

The driver flinched after my sudden outburst. "Sorry son, I can't do tha-"

"You're gonna fuckin do it! or I'm gonna send you to a time limbo to live the rest of your shitty ass life! I'm your  Cheif Warrant officer, You will do as I fucking tell you!"

The man turned the keys and began to drive off with a scowl on his face. It's fuckin annoying watching adults trying to ignore my authority because I'm only sixteen, especially because I've been here for the past nine years of my life, longer than most everyone working under me.

I watched through the window as we drove on a dirt road through the middle of a forest. The place was familiar. I knew I had been her before, but when? Everything felt like I had seen it before, a long time ago..

We passed a sign that said 'quirk containment prison 3'.

"This-" I paused, eyes wide, my voice cought in throat.

"This is where I grew up..."
