(Note: this whole chpt. Is a flashback)
"Katsuki." My father's voice echoed through my head. "It's time for another quirk, prepare yourself." He left.
I stood from the floor in my weak state, my legs could barely hold me up. I pushed myself up with small explosions from my palms. Leaning against the wall for support, I ran my hands through my hair.
I waited for the glass door to slide open and my father allow me into the hall.
I flinched when a prisoner burst into flames in his cell as we walked past. "..dad?" I ran up closer to him.
He pushed me to the ground. "Always walk five paces behind me. I taught you this week's ago." He scoffed. "Disobediant child." He muttered.
"Yes father.." I got back to my feet and stayed quiet.
We got to the dark room at the end of the hall that I've only been to once before, but I already hate it... There were two tables with restraints for my arms and legs and a lot of technology I don't understand.
We first did this a week ago and I've had a headache ever since. I climbed up on the table to the right as my father began to strap down my arms.
"Meet Jason Wolfhart. His quirk is astroprojection and soon it will be yours." He said something similar last time; Makayla something, her quirk was mind reading. I still haven't figured out what he meant.
I looked over to the man, he had pale skin and long black hair tied into a ponytail, he wore a prisoners clothing. The same handcuffs Makayla had with quirk cancelling tech were around his wrists.
I gave him a nod and he scoffed before the guards escorted him to the other table in the room. They connected the machines, wires and stuff to him and I. The room cleared out and they went behind the one-way mirror.
I stared at the ceiling bracing myself for what was about to happen.
"Hey, kid."
I turned and saw the man staring at me. I didn't say anything. "Why are they doing this to you? How old are you anyway?"
I never thought about why, I just followed orders. "My dad is the general." I said quietly. "I'm five and a half."
"That's a pretty fucked up thing to do to your own damn kid." He scoffed.
"What do you mean?"
He chuckled lightly. "Of course you wouldn't know. ...He's making you useable for the fucking government. A weapon. A tool." His tone turned sour and full of hate. "And they're about to take the only damn power I have and give it to a dumb kid."
"You should stop talking." I mumbled. "It'll hurt more." I looked at the blinking light on the wall, signaling that they were starting soon.
I closed my eyes and felt electricity surging through my body. I clenched my jaw shut, keeping my screams inside. It felt as though I were being cooked alive or shot with lightning. And it wouldn't stop. My head pounded and my limbs went numb, I held my breath and made my hands into fists.
I heard the yells and grunts of pain of the man across the room. I opened one eye and through my blurred vision saw him thrashing around within the restraints.
He screamed and yelled, begging them to stop. He leaned forward still tied down and coughed up blood, he kept hacking as more bood dripped from his mouth. His skin started to look more like a vampire's as the process continued.
I closed my eyes and turned my head to the side, afraid I would throw up at the sight. A stabbing pain traveled down my spine and I couldn't hold it in anymore. I let my jaw loose and screamed, and I could feel tears start to roll down my cheeks.
My throat felt like it was closing up and it was getting hard to breathe. More tears fell down my face as I let out another scream, hurting my throat even more.
The room was so loud, filled with the sounds of the machines, our screams and the deafening ringing in my mind. I swear my head is about to explode with all the noise. I expected everthing because of last time, but that doesn't change how painful it is.
"Why are they doing this to you?"
"That's a pretty fucked up thing to do to your own damn kid."
Is this not what should be happening? What would happen if not this? This is just the routine: train, go to my cell, more training, every once and a while we do whatever this is, then I go home and see my mom.
Does she even know about this? Dad never talked about it with her, at least not when I'm around.
I woke up in my cell, I guess I passed out like last time. I sat up and leaned on my hand, my head actually doesn't hurt that bad, my arms and legs still feel weak though and my throat is really sore. I ran my fingers through my hair before I heard two people walking down the hall.
"What do the test results say now?"
My dad.
"The boy has shown signs of having three quirks, it would be extremely dangerous to continue what you're doing, especially if you continue to use the quirks of villains on death row." A man said as they came into view, he was the doctor always poking me and drawing blood.
"Katsuki. You're awake. We need to go train."
"I highly advise that you do not do that right now! The boys body needs time to hea-" The doctor tried to protest.
"I don't beleive that, I need to train him so he can get stronger. And I feel the need to remind you that I'm paying you to keep quiet about all this." He motioned toward my cell.
The man nodded and backed away, quickly heading back down the hall.
"Katsuki. Lets go." The door slid open after he put in the code and he took me to the training deck.
