Then he was gone, and all she could hear was the breaking of a glass. Forcing her mind to focus on the task she was given she shut out everything else, storming down the stairways and out through a side door of the building, forcing tears out of her eyes as she told some policemen that she was just trying to escape. Then she was off, running through the streets but not really knowing where she was going.

It was by mere chance that she looked to the right while crossing an intersection, catching a glimpse of James who was sprinting along the other side of the road, and she was about to call out to him when she noticed a man in a catsuit following him closely.

"Fúcking hell," she grumbled, seeing Captain America following behind the cat-person.

She knew she would never be able to catch up to them while running. Their super-soldier serum made her kind of speed no match. Making a snap decision, she ran across the street towards some cars, and without hesitation she broke a window of a car that looked relatively new. Getting in she ripped off a panel and quickly hotwired the car, just like her godfather had taught her when she was just a child.

She could hear something shouting at her, but once the car was running she sat up, slammed the door shut, and nearly ran down the person who probably owned the car (since he was running in her direction, waving his arms and shouting profanities).

Then she was off, the tires screeching as she pressed the gas-pedal to the floor. Looking ahead she could see the three men jumping into a hole, leading into a tunnel where cars were rushing past, going beneath the city.

Pulling the wheel around she did a 180 and could hear the tires screeching, and other cars honking as she drove the other way, knowing that they would have to come out on the other side. So she floored the gas and opened the windows, hearing people shouting and cars honking at her but most of all listening to see if she could hear the commotion she was sure going on beneath her.

Tearing off to the right she started going down towards the tunnel she hoped they were coming out off, smiling as she spotted James heading her direction on a black motorbike, and then gasping as the cat-person came flying through the air behind him just as an explosion went off.

Both James and the cat-person went down, and she pushed the gas again just as Captain America came running out of the rubble and pushed the black cat off of James. Seeing a window she rammed straight into the unknown cat-person, the impact making her head hit the steering-wheel before the airbags deployed.

She was only out for a couple of seconds, but blinked blearily as the door of the car was ripped clean off its hinges.

"Reagan!" She heard while she coughed - white powder from the airbags surrounding her everywhere. "Jesus, woman - are you trying to give me a heart attack?" Blue eyes peered down at her, brown hair falling in front of a handsome face that she knew much too well.

"Hi," she groaned, blinking once, twice and then once more before coughing one more time.

"Hi?!" He exclaimed, hands reaching for her as he gently cupped her face between his mismatched hands as his eyes roamed over her face to see if she had any threatening injuries. "You-"

"Bucky!" She heard outside of the car, her eyes moving from his face to try to peer out of the car. "I think the captain is trying to get your attention," she said with a small smile. "I'm fine, you should go."

"Re-"

"Go," she pushed his chest slightly to get him out of the car and on his way. "I don't want them to catch you. I'll be fine, for all they know, this was just an accident."
