Chapter 14

Reagan was furiously biting her nails.

She knew almost all of them had superpowers and super skills and were super humans. She knew they could endure a lot. She knew they wouldn't actively try to hurt one another. At least she hoped they wouldn't. Well, all except the cat prince. All bets were off on him, and as she saw the way he went after James she swallowed hard, changing hands so that she had new nails to bite on.

During her flight earlier - courtesy of the young fellow called Spiderman - she had lost her ear-piece. But she wasn't sure if it would have helped her nerves if she knew what they were saying.

She could hear the odd curse or shout of course, but was staying clear from the fight - as promised.

James and Steve had disappeared somewhere - and she craned her neck to see if she could spot them.

"Holy mother of Jesus!" she shouted, falling off the crates she was sitting on in surprise. A man had just appeared from nowhere. A HUGE man. It took her a couple of seconds to realise that the man that was as tall as a large building and who was laughing maniacally - was in fact Scott Lang.

Getting to her feet again she saw him trampling over in her general direction, breaking off a wing of a plane before throwing it at her godfather.

"Bloody hell," she muttered, hiding behind the crates as she saw T'Challa come towards her. She figured he wasn't really out to get her - but whilst she was hiding, she did not realise that Scott had no idea where she was. So when crates started literally exploding around her she squeaked and ran off in the only direction where there was no debris.

"Reagan!" Clint shouted at her, sprinting in her direction - "get the hell out of here! NOW!"

"ALRIGHT BY ME!" She shouted back, running past him and away from the commotion behind her.

After running a fair distance away she turned to assess if she was safe now, only to be thrown back as something hit her in the stomach and she fell to the ground.

The back of her head hit the ground and darkness enveloped her vision.

Bucky stopped besides Steve as a familiar redhead stood in front of them. Her legs in a wide stance and one of her arms stretched out before her:

    "You're not gonna stop."

It wasn't a question, but a statement.

"You know I can't," Steve replied.

"I'm gonna regret this," the redhead murmured and for a moment Bucky thought she was about to shoot them down - until she actually shot some sort of electric current from her wristband right in between him and Steve.

Both of them twisted around to where the shot landed, seeing T'Challa hunching over slightly.

"Go," she said, glancing from Steve to Bucky.

He nodded his head at her, before sprinting towards the jet along with Steve.

They flew out of the hangar - quickly realising that both Tony and Rhodey was on their tail. Sam was on it in an instant, but before he could do much they could hear him shouting that Rhodey was going down. Steve tried to learn what was going on, but they could only hear commotion for a while; then:

"He's alive, the ambulance is on its way."

"Has anyone seen Reagan?" Clint's voice sounded over the comms.
