"Family of Olympia!" I heard the doctor call out.
I stood up and made my way to the doctor. HIs face told me that the news was grim.
"How is she?" I asked.
"I am afraid she is in a coma, in which she can either slip into death or life. You may see her if you like." He said.
THis hit me hard. I nodded to say that I wanted to see Olympia. He led to her room and left me with her. I sat by her side. I took her hand in mine and began to rub my thumb over it. I felt sick seeing all the wires and breathing tubes hooked up to my girl.
"Olympia, please don't die on me. I love you. Please don't leave." I whispered. I felt too much sadness to cry.
I just couldn't bear to watch my girlfriend laying there helpless. Just then the door opened. It was Oona.
"Otis, Ms. O wants you to come back to finish the case." She said. I nodded and gave Olympia's hand a kiss. As much as I wanted to stay with her, I still had a job to do. After all, it was our case.
I sighed. I gave Olympia a kiss on the forehead before leaving.
