Chapter 1- The Pain I Felt

Reiji's POV

"Ai-Ai! This Christmas shoot is almost over~ Let's go get something to eat!"
With an annoyed voice Ai sighed, "No, I told you already, I have plans with Natsuki and Syo."
"Come on Ai-Ai, just today?" I was becoming desperate. "You said that yesterday too. Reiji, I'll eat with you another day." You told me that yesterday too.

Ever since I found out about Ai being a robot, he has been avoiding me. He doesn't speak to me as much as he used to. He doesn't eat with me as much as he used to. Even though we live together, we barely talk to each other, whether that be for work, or even just sitting down on the couch. Why won't he speak to me? I can't endure this anymore. Ai... is the only thing that resembled Aine. You can't take him away from me too.

Ai started to walk farther, and farther away from me until I could no longer hear his footsteps. "I guess he wouldn't want to hang around me would he..." I sat down in the corner of the large room, and put my head down. I started to mumble things even I couldn't understand. I then hear heavy footsteps in the distance approach me.

"Ah? What are you doing hanging around here? The staff was calling for you earlier."
"Ra...Ran-chan?" My voice was trembling.
"Tsk...Ya look like shit. Go to the waiting room and cool off idiot."
"... Ok Ran-chan"

I walked to the waiting room, taking Ran-chan's advise.

I heard Ranmaru quietly mutter under his breath after I walked away.
"What's wrong with him? He's never acted like that before..."

I slowly walked to the waiting room, every step getting heavier. The staff greeted me as I approached them.

"Kotobuki-san? Good job today on the shoot! You looked really amazing!"
"Reiji-san! Good work on today's shoot!"
"Kotobuki-san, your photo shoot was very nice!"

Do I deserve all of this praise? I can't even keep ONE friend... one person special to me... That's all I ever asked for. Please... Ai-Ai... don't leave me...
