It was a very windy and gloomy day and you were busy with so many things. You had to get a drawing done for a friend, clean the house, learn a new language, practice for a job interview, give your dog a bath two times a week for his skin problems and train. You have been so busy in fact that you couldn't find any time to sleep. You were exhausted and drained of any energy you had left. Your body was struggling to keep itself up and your mind felt all jumbled up and scrambled from how tired you were. You couldn't even think straight most of the time.
You tried keeping your exhaustion a secret from your friends so they wouldn't have to worry, but the bags under your eyes and how you were acting seemed to have made it quite obvious. You were struggling with everything and didn't know how much more you could take. You sat at your desk and looked at the drawing that you were working on for one of your friends and sighed. How were you going to get this drawing done before their birthday? It was only a few days away and you weren't even half way done with it yet.
Thinking about how much time you had left to get the artwork Done made you feel stressed out, but you were determined to get it done on time and nothing would stop you. Not even sleep deprivation would slow you down. You started to continue your work on the drawing and tried to make it as perfect as possible by trying to put a lot of detail into it. It was looking good so far. Suddenly the doorbell rang. You put down your pencil and stretched. You get up from your chair and head downstairs to the front door to see who it might be. You peep out the window and see your friend, Bulma waiting out the door.
You open the door for her and greeted her. "Hey, Bulma. How are you?" You spoke with a friendly smile. "Hey, (y/n)! I'm doing pretty well! You didn't seem to be answering your phone lately so I though I'd come over and check on you to make sure that you were okay." Bulma said. "Oh, huh.. Really? Sorry, I guess I've been pretty busy lately and didn't have much time to respond." You said a bit embarrassed. "Nah, no worries! I totally understand. Hey, I was thinking that maybe you would like to come with me and Chichi to the mall tomorrow. You could probably use a break from your work." Bulma said.
You rubbed your eyes and chuckled under your breath. "Well, I don't know. I think a have some stuff to do tomorrow too. My schedule is pretty packed." You responded. "Well, make room! It be nice to hangout with you again. We haven't been able to have our day outs for like a month." Bulma complained, looking at you with sad puppy eyes. You felt kinda bad for not being able to hangout with your friends as much, but you were always caught up in everything that you needed to do. You just never had the time.
"I apologize for being so absent.. I just need to get a lot of stuff done." You said. "Well, with those heavy bags under your eyes, I'd say you really need a break. Maybe a vacation." Bulma responded, raising an eyebrow at you. "Maybe some other time we can hangout, but right now I really need to get some stuff done." You said, hoping she'd understand, but her facial expression said otherwise. "Seriously, (y/n). You really need to relax and take some time off. I'll even hire someone to take good care of your dog for a week or two while you rest from everything." Bulma insisted.
You were getting a bit annoyed with her. Couldn't she just leave you be for now and just try to understand that you really NEED to get this stuff done? You didn't have time for this and your time was being wasted on arguing with your friend about something so stupid. "That's very nice of you, but I don't think that'll be necessary. Look, I promise we'll hangout together again once I get everything all sorted out and done, okay?" You smiled. Bulma sighed and gave a small smile that seemed forced. "Alright. Please, take care of yourself and do get some rest when you can." She said.
You nodded at her and continued to smile. "Sure. See you around." You replied. Bulma nodded. "See ya." You close the door and went back into your room to continue on with your drawing. You couldn't believe that this drawing was taking you forever. You had like a month to work on it and yet you were still struggling to finish it. Although you were pretty busy with some other stuff, but you had no excuses for being lazy on that drawing. Even if you were busy with other things, that didn't mean you could slack on your picture. You practically screwed yourself over.
