A place to call home...

After the meeting with the council Boruto and Kisura exited the Hokage mansion, the two were walking down the main streets of konoha gaining a lot of attention, most of it being towards Kisura from the male population
Walking through the business district of the village Boruto broke the silence that had been growing between them for quite some time, "Hey there won't be anything to eat at home so why don't we get something to eat and head home?" Asked Boruto
"Yeah ok, well most probably have to clean the house after the past 9 years as well" Replied Kisura
The two kept walking until they saw a modest looking restaurant in a less populated area of the district and walked in and inside there were a few people eating, walking to a unoccupied table the two sat down in front of each other
A few minutes later a waitress came to the table and asked "welcome to 'niku to yasai'! Can I take your order?" Politely
"I think I'll take a soboro don, what about you Kisura?" Responded Boruto in the guis of Yami
Nodding the waitress turned to Kisura who thought for a second before saying "I'll have some pork takiyaki"
The waitress nodded and said "your food will be out in a few minutes" before leaving
"So what are you going to do in the village? Your alittle too old to start shinobi training..." started Boruto
"Yea true...maybe I'll just stay home" Replied Kisura
"Maybe you can start a little business" cheerfully responded Boruto
"Maybe but I have no idea of how to run a business..." Kisura Replied
"Well I don't know what else I can do so when you do find something you'd like to do then tell me and I'll support you in anyway I can, ok?" Said Boruto
Kisura smiled and happily nodded, seconds later the food arrived, the waitress placed the food in front of the two and smiled before saying "hope you enjoy the food!" And left
The two took their chopsticks before praying 'itadakimasu' and dug in
Half way through the meal Kisura says something, "Boruto-kun do you ever miss your parents?", this question caught Boruto alittle off guard
Kisura had her head down when Boruto smiled and softly replied "I miss them every single day, they died so young they had so much to live for...", hearing Boruto's answer Kisura looked up at Boruto with tears in her eyes, seeing the tears Boruto frowned before leaning over and wiped the tear and spoke once again, "but I know that they miss me too, and they will always be here with us" touching where Kisura's heart would be, hearing this made Kisura feel alittle better, wiping her tears she smiled and touched her chest where Boruto's hand was seconds ago

After the two finished their meal they payed and once again started walking towards the Uzumaki residence
As they walked through the village the shinobi population tensed up at seeing 'Yami', Boruto and Kisura walked through the busy streets
After around 13-15 minutes of walking the two arrived at the gate of the residence
Creaks were visible on the walls around and on the house, most of the colour had faded, dust had collected on the windows, ankle high weeds had grown on the lawn of the house, over all the house looked better then the two hoped
Pushed the gate alittle Boruto noticed that the gate needed to be oiled...desperately, forcefully opening the gate Boruto crossed the lawn and bent down and lifted the welcome mat where laid a lone key
Picking up the key Boruto smiled thinking "just where kaa-san and tou-san left it", after opening the door Boruto looked back and saw that Kisura was just standing out side the gate, "are you just going to stand there?" Said Boruto
Hearing Boruto's voice snapped Kisura out of her trance, blushing Kisura quickly walked towards Boruto
Once Kisura was a few straps behind him Boruto walked into the house, the entrance looked undamaged the only thing was the dust that had accumulated over the 9 years the house was left for, walking in with his sandals still on Boruto turned on the light and was surprised the electricity still worked, "luckily the electricity still works" Said Boruto as he walked further into the house and slides the sliding door that connects the house entrance to the living room and kitchen, and just like the entrance the room and it's content looked undamaged but the whole room had a layer or two of dust
"Looks like the interior looks much better then the exterior" commented Kisura, and Boruto gave a nod in reply and walked over to the sink to check if the water is running, one the water had started running Boruto closed the tap before walking out of the room and up the stairs
Kisura followed a moment later, Boruto walked up the stairs and towards the first door in the hallway, opening the door Boruto saw his old room, the bed in one corner and the desk in the other and his closet infront of the bed and next to the door, the room still had some dust here and there but not as much as the living room and kitchen
Walking up behind Boruto, Kisura Asked "whose room is this?", smiling Boruto Replied "Mine" and walked away from the room and towards the next door down the hall one that was blank and dusty, really dusty
Walking into the next room which was Naruto's office Boruto saw a memory of his father sitting under his desk writing a mission report and his younger self run in to the room and jump on to his fathers lap
Remembering the memory brought and smile to Boruto's face, but once he memory faded Boruto saw the dusty room, all the scroll shelf's filled with scrolls and cobwebs the computer screen not visible due to the dust, the pictures in the office were covered in dust, Kisura walked into the office just as Boruto walked out
Opening the last room Boruto could feel the tears coming to his eyes, the violet covers and quilt along with the pillows, the desk in the corner of the room with dust covered scrolls and the closet, the room was much less dusty compare to the other rooms of the house, the tears slowly began flowing
Kisura finally finishing looking around the office came to the room Boruto was in to see her husband walking around the room with tears flowing down his face
Noticing Kisura's presence Boruto dried his tears, "looks like we've got our work cut out for us, let's just hope my probation period ends by the time we finish"
Nodding Kisura walked out of the room to find cleaning equipment

Boruto's room and toilet across from the room were cleaned by the time the sun set, knowing the they could not make dinner at home at the moment the two went out to eat
"What you want to eat?" Asked Boruto
"Since we're back in the village let's go to one of the restaurants that your father visited" Replied Kisura
"Fine with me" responded Boruto and stared walking towards Ichiraku
The restaurant was not very far from the house so it took only 6 minutes to get there
Walking in 'Yami' and Kisura sat down on one of the empty stools, a moment later Ayame walked up to them and asked "welcome to ichiraku! What can I get for you?"
"I'll take the Uzumaki special" responded 'Yami', after a moment Kisura Replied "I'll take what he's taking"
Ayame notes the order before asked "will that be all?", the two nodded and Ayame left
"So after the probation period you will be a jonin, they said you will have three choices, what do you think they will be?" Asked Kisura
Boruto thought about the question and responded "if the Nanadaime has not changed the rules then I'll either get to be a ordinary jonin who takes missions or join the ANBU or I'll have to take on a genin team"
Nodding Kisura Asked "and what do you plan on choosing?", Boruto shrugged and replied "don't know, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it"
"Fair enough"
Just then the food arrived, "two bowls of the Uzumaki special" said Ayame "enjoy!" Before leaving
Boruto and Kisura took their chopsticks and broke them in half before saying "Itadakimasu" before starting to eat
The rest of the meal went with little talk, they finished their meal and payed before making their way back to the house
Along the way the two walked into the current gen Konaha 17 who had surrounded Boruto and Kisura in a semi circle, "it's him!" Said Sarada
"Him?" Asked Sumire, "that man wearing the black hood is 'Yami'. A rumoured Kage level shinobi. He is said to be as strong as your late hero Naruto Uzumaki in his prime" Replied Mitsuki
Hearing this everyone who hear were wide eyed, "there's no way that emo freak is Kage level!" Yelled Iwabe
"I heard that 'Yami' was not associated to any village, so what is he doing here in Konoha?" Questioned Metal, while the chunnin were debating with in themselves Boruto sighed and said "you know if you have so many questions you can just ask us and we'll if we're allowed to instead of debating among your selfs and jumping to the wrong conclusion"
Hearing this gained the chunnins attention, "ok first question, what is your real name?" Asked wasabi
But to the disappointment of many of the audience Boruto Replied "unfortunately that is classified, but I can tell you that I am part of the long lost Otsutsuki clan", hearing this many of the audience gasped in awe
"Ok then why are you in Konoha?" Asked chocho munching on her chips
"Well to be straightforward with that, I'm joining the village" responded the enigma
"My father actually allowed you to join the village?" Questioned Sarada, "he did" Replied 'Yami'
"Then what is your age?" Asked denki
"As a matter of fact I'm your age" Replied Boruto making every one of the konoha 17 gasp, "no way on earth are you our age and a Kage level ninja" Said wasabi
"Whether you believe me or not it's up to you" responded Boruto
Iwabe walked infront of Kisura and asked "and who are you?", Kisura pointed at her self and replied "me? My name is Kisura Otsutsuki"
"So what's your relation to mister emo here?" Responded Iwabe pointing at Boruto
"Me and 'Yami'-kun are...just friends" Replied Kisura
"That's good to know because a emo like him can never treat a beautiful lady like you right, if your looking for a man then look no farther then me" boasted Iwabe
"Actually I'm not looking for a relationship" Replied Kisura
"Let me guess mister emo here is blackmailing you into you being his?" Spat Iwabe, everyone looked at how 'Yami' would reply but before anything could happen
"Iwabe I suggest you respect your superiors" Came the voice of Mitsuki with a smile on his face
"What superior? Everyone on the streets right now are us and civilians" Replied Iwabe smugly
"Yami-san where you given a rank by my father?" Asked Sarada to which Boruto nodded
"W..what rank were you given?" Asked Sumire
"Nanadaime-Sama mentioned something about Jonin, but I'm unsure if that will be my rank" answered Boruto, while the others accepted his rank as he was a Kage level shinobi, the news made Iwabe's blood run cold
He had just insulted possibly his superior, and on top of that he had called a shinobi who can basically go head to head with Naruto Uzumaki an emo
If he really is one of his superiors and this got out and spread around the ranks his chances of progressing to jonin just slimed
Iwabe walked over to Boruto and bowed before apologising, "I apologise for my rudeness and for insulting you"
Boruto sighed and replied "I guess lust is one of the seven deadly sins of this world so I guess I can't blame a boy like you for finding my 'friend' here attractive"
Iwabe knowing that this was an indirect way of saying he was not forgiven took a step back and stood up straight
Boruto looked at the rest of the chunnin who were tense, "at ease, I'm still on probation period for joining the village, I haven't found a reason to hate any of you and I hope you don't give me one" Said Boruto
"Hai" Said the chunnin and quickly left before things could escalate

Boruto and Kisura came back to the house and walked up the stairs stairs and went in to Boruto room, taking her toiletries Kisura went to the bathroom across the hall and freshness up for bed while Boruto was left in the room in deep thought, 'the Nanadaime has changed a lot of rules, the way how Iwabe froze and apologised I can tell that all Jonin need to approve a promotion and with the Jonin exams coming up in half an year they need to be on every Jonins good side, I bet they will come back to apologise once more after I become active'
Just as Boruto's train of thoughts ended the rooms door opened and Kisura walked in drying her face with a towel, Getting up Boruto walked past Kisura and into the Bathroom to freshen up
After drying her face Kisura walked over to the bed and sat down, 'those ninja were Boruto-kind age, they were shocked when they found out Boruto-kun was as strong as the Nanadaime, and that he was their superior' thought Kisura giggling to her self alittle
Kisura stood up from the bed and walked over to the now curtainless window and looked at the village below
'So this will be our home...but for how long?' Thought Kisura before once again laying down on the bed
A few minutes of silence went by and the sound of the door opening could be heard along with soft footsteps
In his shorts and plain black t-shirt the blond took a pillow and laid down on the floor
Kisura turned around hoping Boruto would be there but was surprised when he wasn't and his pillow was missing, looking over the bed and at the floor Kisura saw Boruto on the floor with his eyes closed
"Boruto-kun why are you sleeping on the floor when you can sleep next to me on the bed?"
Boruto did not give a reply and just laid there motionless, "Boruto-kun I know your not asleep" Said Kisura slightly irritated
"I just feel like sleeping in the floor tonight" Replied Boruto with his eyes still closed, hearing the reply Kisura got up and picked up her pillow and the new quilt and walked over to Boruto's side and put the pillow next to his, "scoot" Said Kisura before pulling the quilt over then both and laying down
Kisura got comfortable before putting her arms around Boruto and snuggled into his chest, a moment later Boruto got out of Kisura's grasp and turned his back to her
"Boruto...what's wrong?" Asked Kisura sitting up and putting a hand on his left bicep, she did not get an response, she sighed and was about to lay down and get some sleep when Boruto Replied, "nothings wrong...I just feel like as if my parents are watching us..."
Kisura deep inside knew this was a lie but chose to accept it

For the next two months Boruto and Kisura were busy cleaning and repairing the house, the neighbors at the beginning had thought Naruto and Hinata had returned but later found out that Boruto and Kisura were the new owners, the neighbors were not happy that their greatest hero's home was given to some people, Sasuke answered to these complains saying that the new owners are family to Naruto, knowing this most of the protest was satisfied but there were still questions that they wanted answers to like "how close were these new owners to Naruto?"
Boruto and Kisura's relationship was not progressing well, Kisura could not find out what was wrong, he was not having an affair that was crystal clear to her because he spent most of the day with her cleaning and repairing the house the only times he was away was when he trained, Boruto slept on the floor where as Kisura slept on the bed, Not knowing what was going on with her man was bothering her and the fact that no matter how many times she tried to find out she came out empty handed but she was determined to give it one last try with all her effort

It was the last day of Boruto's probation period, the next day Boruto would have to go into active duty
The house was painted and all the cracks had been filled, all the room were decent looking, the furniture were a little out dated
"Boruto-kun the furniture is a little out dated so why don't we buy new ones" Said Kisura in the kitchen making dinner
Boruto, who was putting in some photos into the photo frames said "we can do that once I start doing missions because if we buy anything unnecessary it will have to be from the money we need for food"
Sighing Kisura Replied "fine with me since your going into active duty tomorrow"
Hearing this Boruto couldn't help roll his eyes, he finished putting the picture into the frame and took a good look at the pictures, his father and mother at the day of their wedding, one one side when he was born and a few years later with his father with a peace sign and on the other the new picture that he had just put in, the pictures of the day Himawari was born and then below it a picture of her with his mother
