Chapter 6

Boruto was walking down the hall way of the Hokage mansion and just as he turned a corner he saw a man with long hair that reached his lower back and pale skin in a white combat kimono and shinobi sandals walking with Mitsuki
Walking towards him Boruto greeted the pale shinobi, "Mitsuki-san"
Hearing his name being called Mitsuki turned and smiled before greeting back, "Taicho"
Boruto nodded and walked past the two, he reached the office door of the Nanadaime and knocked once
He waited a moment for a response, Boruto turned around and was about to walk away when he heard, "ah Boruto-san a little early aren't we?"
Boruto turned around and bowed before replying, "yes my apologies, however I wish to know of the mission a little before hand so I could prepare"
Understanding where Boruto was coming from Sasuke nodded before he opened the door and walked into his office, Boruto followed close behind
Entering the office the fire shadow quickly made his way to his desk and sat down, Boruto stood in front of him with his hand behind his back, "The mission that I have for you is a month long mission that may lengthen depending on how well the others perform.." spoke the kage
When the man said 'how well the others perform' Boruto knew this had to do something with a genin or chunin team, and as if the man could read minds the once self proclaimed avenger turned protector said, "yes, as you may have deduced this had to do alot with the up coming jonin exams" stopped the man as a way to allow the blond infront of him to absorb the information so far, Boruto nodded for the man to continue, "thus I would like you to go with the teams to Iwa where the first two rounds of the exams are held, this will last one month the travelling included and amongst other things, and if our teams do well the third and final round with be held in Iron country" said the black haired kage, Boruto nodded in understanding and asked, "so do you wish for me to be a teams jonin sensei?"
To which the kage shook his head no, "then what is that you request of me hokage-sama?" Once again asked Boruto
"I do not need you to go as their sensei as the teams sensei's will be going with them, however from my recent trip to the kage summit I have learned that there are groups out their that would put in a lot of effort to get the Bounty's on our heads. You are fears as a powerful adversary to both shinobi as well as Ronin and nuke-nin, it's not that I think my jonin and chunin are weak but I just want to be safe" said the kage
Boruto internally sighed and spoke, "thus you request me to go with them just in case they get attacked"
To which the kage nodded, "if that is what you wish of me then I accept" said Boruto
The kage nodded approving and once again spoke, "you can meet the teams in the afternoon approximately at 2 at the train station, dismissed"
Boruto nodded and turned around to leave when the kage once again spoke, "one last thing, would you be kind enough to tell me what your relation to Kisura Otsutsuski is? "
Boruto hearing this sighed before he began speaking, "we were mutual friends, in exchange for protection and company she provided a warm meal"
The kage understood and nodded before he waved his hand and dismissed him

On the other side of town in a small dango restaurant sat two men, ones hair was white while the others black, both had skin as pale as snow, both were considered weird by many in society but still accepted, they were father and son
"Mitsuki-kun who was that blond man who you called Taicho at the hokages mansion?" Asked the father
"That was Boruto Uzumaki" replied Mitsuki
"Uzumaki? I thought Naruto-kun was the last Uzumaki?" Replied the black haired man
"I thought that as well however Nanadaime-sama has told us that Boruto-taicho is the son of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Uzumaki, the grandson of the Yondaime Minato Namikaze and the Beni-Hime Kushina Uzumaki" explained the young chunin
"Well that explained quite a few things such as the hair and the whisker marks, however my question is how was he able to hide and grow strong in such secret?" Thought the pale skinned father
"But I believe a person of his strength and power would have a practise and I'm adamant that I would know of such a powerful shinobi growing with in the village" spoke the father
"I think the answer to that question would be the moniker Yami" replied Mitsuki
Hearing that name caused Orochimaru's to widen, "...he's Yami?" Asked the father to only receive a nod from his son

Boruto walked out of the Hokage's mansion and began walking towards one of the many restaurants around the village that served good breakfast BBQ, Boruto stopped infront of a large establishment that promised the best BBQ in the village so Boruto decided to test that
He walked in and saw a few people some couples some families having a meal together, Boruto walked to one of the unoccupied stalls and sat down
A few minutes later a waiter came to take his order, as he was by him self he decided to take a smaller portion
The waiter set the table's built in grill for Boruto and went into the kitchen to get the meat and other necessary items
As Boruto was waiting he looked around the restaurant and saw and heard how happy the people were with their loved ones, Boruto shook his head and waited patiently for his order
"Here is your order sir" said the waiter placing his plate of the table with a smile, Boruto quickly thanked the man and placed some of the meat of the heated grill and poured some soya sauce into a small bowl, Boruto flipped the meat ever so often and thoroughly cooked the meat before dipping into the sauce and earring it and Boruto had to admit the taste and flavour of the meat along with the sauce gave the establishment the bragging right to say they have the best BBQ in the village
Boruto slowly ate his food, savouring every bite and enjoying the meal

By the time Boruto had finished his meal it was late morning entering into the afternoon, Boruto exited the restaurant and began walking towards the Uzumaki residence to get his essentials for his mission
As Boruto was walking he thought about Kisura and what she said before she left, "come find me when you know I won't disappear" repeated Boruto, thinking about that made Boruto shake his head thinking "talk about hypocrites"
Boruto walking into the the Uzumaki residence and with out bothering to take his shoes off walked into the house and through the hallway towards one of the cupboards that he kept scrolls in, he passed his hand over some of the scrolls and stopped on a purple one before picking it up and pocketing it
Boruto afterwards walked back outside before locking the door and beginning to walk towards the train station

Boruto arrived at the station and was not surprised that a crowd of chunin along with their jonin sensei had arrived
Boruto internally sighed and began walking towards the crowd and as he did the group's parted making way for the man, as he walked through the crowd whispered could be heard commenting on his heritage and his appearance
Boruto stopped walking through the crowd when he heard a voice behind him call him captain, turning around he was face to face with Iwabe
"Iwabe, I see that you will be attending this year's jonin exams" stated Boruto with a smile
"Yeah and it's just not me it's the entire gang that will be attending, their over there" pointed Iwabe back with his thumb before turning around and walking towards the group
Boruto having nothing better to do followed Iwabe, Boruto along with Iwabe reached the group and Sarada was the first to notice the new arrivals
"Boruto-taicho? What are you doing here?" Asked the oxy haired girl
"Well your father thought that he showed show off his latest trophy to the other kage's so he decided to send we with you guys" said Boruto bluntly
Sarada and the rest of the group couldn't help but sweat drop at hearing this, "none the less it is good to know that you will be joining us on this journey, Taicho" stated Mitsuki
"Ok will someone please fill me in, why do you keep calling him captain while I am you team leader?!" Stated Konohamaru
"Your team means no offense Konohamaru-san, I once captained your team once while you were occupied and on this mission I was able to gain their respect this the reason why they call me captain" explained Boruto and the rest of the team nodded
The other members of the group merely watched the conversation, "I honestly thought that the son of Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki would be more arrogant and would have a mentality that he was above everyone" whispered one jonin sensei to another
"Hey don't bite a gift horse in the mouth" whispered back the other jonin
"I guess that makes it? If so let's get on that train and head to the Iwa and hopefully get us some new jonin" said Konohamaru and the rest of the group except Boruto shouted in agreement before getting onto the train to Iwa

I know it has been a looooong time since I update but I'm terribly sorry
Well here's an update, sorry it's shorter compared to the other chapters I'll make sure the next chapter is longer
