A/N: Hey guys this chapter is going to have some implied smut in it. I know it might seem like it jumps around but bare with me!

"Marco!" I yelled out giving up on finding Loki in the garden. A black snake slithered out from the bushes and I rolled my eyes as I let it coil up my arm.

"Expecting that one my pet?" Loki's voice rang through my head. I chuckled.

"Sure was. Not used to your tricks being so predictable?" I asked him. I heard a light chuckle and the snake quickly dropped to the ground.

"Come on, supper will be soon and I should probably change into something more formal," I said walking away from Loki.

"Frey you look fine the way you are. Although perhaps more shades of green are needed," Loki said with a half smile.

"Don't worry. It seems that besides red, green is the only color in my closet. I wonder who is to blame for that," I said with a smile as he joined my side again.

"That was not I actually. The queen's favorite color was green and therefore it is my favorite color," Loki said as we got to the stairs.

"I see. Slight change of subject but you look terribly tired. Did you actually sleep in the last two days?" I asked him. His fond smile fell.

"I caught a couple hours of sleep but I've been having- Never mind it's not important," Loki said furrowing his brows and dismissing my inquiry.

"Okay. Well, we are going to joined at the hip for a while. You can trust me you know," I said eyeing him from the corner of my eye.

"My dear it's hard to trust someone you just met. I'm sure you know that though. Look it's not that I don't want to trust you my pet, I am not a person who opens up to anyone. All that comes out of that is heart ache and drama," Loki said. We had been walking for quite a while but paused outside my door.

"Fine. If you want to talk I am here. You can also rest in my room while I get ready if you think it would help you sleep better," I said as I pushed the door open and left it gaping behind me. He stood in the door frame for a few seconds but heard him walk in and close it behind him as I was rummaging in the closet. I finally chose a simple green dress with gold embellishments. It reminded me of something a Greek goddess would wear with the way the sleeves were cut. Like something a normal person would wear as a Halloween costume. I took the dress into the large shower room so I could change with some privacy. Walking past the bed I saw Loki with his eyes closed. Perhaps not asleep yet, but peaceful all the same.

"If you take a photo it will last longer. Isn't that what your people say?" Loki said with a smirk as he felt me staring.

"I just wasn't sure if you were asleep or not. Or alive for that matter," I told him and rolled my eyes as I walked into the restroom.

"Do not roll your eyes," I heard Loki utter in a husky voice. The fact that he was always in my head scared me a little bit. That means he must know my subconscious thoughts.

"Oh I am so sorry sir. I'll be sure to remember," I said sarcastically as I slipped the dress over my head. I felt hands around my waste before I had pulled the dress on and before I could even open my eyes I was spun around.

"Yes you will. You'll also watch your tone or you'll be sorry," Loki said pressing me up against the counter his forehead resting on mine so that his eyes pierced into mine. My breath hitched in my throat and I felt the heat of blood rushing to my cheeks.

"I'm sorry," I said earnestly this time. He smile almost wickedly but kept his eyes locked on mine for a few seconds longer. I think he liked making my heart race.

"Not as sorry as you will be if this attitude persists my pet. Come now we will be late for supper with the insufferable king," Loki said backing away and pulling me toward the door. I am going to chalk that up to him just being over tired. He for sure can not have the same feelings about me that I have for him. I looked at him out of the corner of my eye and saw a small smirk which made me blush harder.

"Stay out of my head," I said breaking our comfortable silence.

"My dear it's so nice to hear thoughts though," Loki said his smile unwavering.

"I'm sure it is. I can not hear yours though and it is an invasion of privacy," I said.

"As you wish, I do quite like it in here though. So warm and inviting," Loki's voice rang in my head once more. I rolled my eyes as we walked and actual fear surfaced in me as I remembered what Loki had said.

"Who will be at supper? Will it just be us and the king?" I asked trying to divert his attention.

"I am sure the warriors three will also be dining with us. That is if we ever make it. The constant bratty attitude may take us on a detour," Loki said while grabbing my arm and stopping me cold in my tracks.

"I don't know what you're talking about. This is just who I am as a person," I responded my pulse racing again.

"Perhaps you need to be reminded of who you're dealing with. I saw that eye roll. Do you really want to know what that does to me?" Loki said. With a wave of his hand we were in his chambers. The curtains were drawn and candles around the room lit simultaneously. I saw various different torture devices in the closet.

"You want to torture me? Because I rolled my eyes?" I asked him as he pushed me down so that I was sitting on the bed.

"Not torture. Punish maybe. You have driven me insane since the first day I met you. You turn me on more than any other women I've ever met. Look at what you do to me," Loki said as his eyes flashed red. The same red my eyes turned when I went into a fit of rage. I looked away trying to regain composure and he put his hand on my cheek, turning my head upward to look at him. He held my face in place staring at me for just a few seconds.

"Fuck it," He breathed and before I could register what was happening his lips were crashing into mine. His kiss was urgent and passionate. We only broke apart for air.

"I see now," I responded breathlessly. His chest was now bare and his black hair hung around his face in incredibly crazed curls. I wanted nothing more than to reach out for him but there was a knock on the door. He growled and before my eyes he fixed the room so that it was presentable. A book appeared in my hand and I opened it assuming that is what he wanted.

"What do you want?" Loki spat at the guard.

"It is supper time. Your father is asking for you and lady Frey to join him," The guard said showing no emotion.

"Oh. I must have lost track of time. We should probably go," I said to Loki trying to play off what just happened.

"Come then," Loki said still angry. He motioned for me to join his side and I did so without protest. The guard now followed us to the dining hall. Neither of us said anything but I got the feeling that we weren't done. That was just a taste of what is to come.
