Jennie was standing in the doorway with her head down. While I had been expecting her normal outfit, I was instead shown black jeans, black converse, a black tank top, black feather earrings, hair thrown up in a messy bun and... a yellow tie-up headband.

"I know yellow is your favorite color. I thought you might like it." Jennie said shyly, head still pointing towards the ground.

"I love it!" I yelled happily, and she giggled. "I wanna see your face, Jen," I said with a soft voice and tilted her head to look at me.

Oh my god... what has she done this time?

Jennie had her normal red lipstick, light foundation -not enough to cover her cute freckles-, slightly shaded in eyebrows. Except this time, she had a big black eye.

"Jennie..." I sighed as I examined her face. "What happened to you?"

"It's nothing, rea-"

"Jennie! You have a black eye for god's sake!" I yelled in frustration.

"I- Jisoo it was really nothing!" Jennie was stuttering, I could tell something was wrong.

"Jennie! Seriously, I'm worried!"

"I came out. To my parents."

Silence.

It took me two minutes to actually talk. Even when I did, it didn't go down the way I'd hoped. "Jen, you've only dated boys, I-"

"Really Jisoo! I seriously doubt you dated girls before you came out and now you're treating me like this? You don't even care that my parents are abusing me, all you care about is you and your stupid LGBT shit! Besides, how would you fucking know if i dated girls or not? How do you even know I was coming out as lesbian? There are other sexualities other than being fucking straight or fucking gay! It's not like you'd know because you never bother to talk to me outside the cafe or school because nobody. even. fucking. cares!"

Jennie was yelling, and sobbing, and there was so much noise I could barely figure out what was going on.

Jennie sprinted down the steps toward her car but crumpled to the ground halfway through. I ran over to her and sat her in my lap, winding my arms around her waist and rocking her back and forth.

"It'll be okay Jen."

"I'm always here for you."

"I don't care what you are, you will always be my Jenduekie."

I repeated this over and over again as her arms threaded their way around my neck and she gradually stopped crying.

"I-I'm so s-sorry, I'm so fu-fucking selfish!" She stuttered out, and I shook my head.

"Jennie, you are the most brave, selfless, important fucking person I've ever met. You are my best friend, I'll never leave you."

"No matter what?" Jen said with hopeful eyes, and I smiled softly.

"No matter what."
