"guys!" I yelled out for the tenth time after re-entering the house. Namjoon had deemed it safe enough for us to go back inside and also to stay here despite a corner of the mansion being burnt to a crisp.

"I don't know, aren't you supposed to be the leader!" one of the boys once again completely ignored me in favor of arguing over each other.

"guy, please, it's important!" I huffed, waving my arms around and hoping to capture anyone's attention.

The seven gang members continued to bicker about whose fault the fire was meanwhile I'm over here bouncing up and down with impatience. "the fire wasn't even near the kitchen!" Jungkook seethed to Hobi who was staring at the younger with accusing eyes and hands on his hips.

I let out an aggravated groan and marched over to Jin, who was the only one being somewhat quiet. I grasped his bicep and gave it a squeeze, "Jin, please you need to listen to me".

His soft inquisitive eyes shifted to look down at my much smaller form. His thick dark eyebrows rose in question.

"I saw someone outside, multiple people actually" we stared at each other for a moment as he took in my words.

"well that's important Charlotte, why didn't you say something earlier?" is he serious? I just spent fifteen minutes trying to get one of these idiots to listen to me! I glared daggers at the stupidly beautiful gang member, but he pretended not to notice as he turned to face the rest of the still fighting buffoons.

"listen up", he called in a voice that was as loud as it was authoritative but was still controlled. Jin is always so calm and level-headed, it's also quite clear that all of the members respect him. It makes me wonder why he's not the leader. Not that Namjoon isn't doing a great job because from what I've witnessed he's amazing at leading. I just can't help but wonder how exactly the leader came into his position. "Charlotte has something she needs to tell us", Jin placed a hand on the small of my back and gave me an encouraging nudge forward.

The room became quiet as everyone's eyes fell on me, a sudden feeling of nerves settled over me. "uh, I um, when I was outside I saw three people who wearing all black and headed away from where the fire broke out" my fingers twisted in the material hem of my T-shirt, "one of them saw me too, I'm pretty sure it was a man" goosebumps rose up on my skin at the memory of that strangers dangerous smile.

"EXO, no doubt" Taehyung scoffed running a hand through his blonde hair.

"I don't know about that, we have a lot of enemies and it doesn't really seem like their style" Jimin mused as clamped the tip of his thumb between his front teeth, his eyes squinted in deep thought.

"I agree" Hobi nodded, "they prefer hands-on violence, I would know from experience". His words made me think back to when we first met and my stomach lurched at the remembrance of all that dark red blood as he laid on Taehyung's medical table.

I could feel someone's stare and looked up to meet Namjoon's gaze. His eyes were intense as he listened to his members' musings, it was like I could see the thousands of thoughts rapidly whizzing around in his mind but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what those thoughts might be. "What are they up to?"

"aren't they just trying to kill you guys because you wouldn't agree to their offer, Namjoon?" I asked. It didn't strike me what was so confusing about this situation, "isn't that what you said they would do?"

His sable eyes found mine once again, "if Sehun had attempted to kill us this morning, we'd already been dead", he sounded so sure of his words and terror once again made my heart take up an erratic pace.

"Whoever it was, we need to be sure of it before we take any action" Jin spoke.
