Chapter four| 'Tree Cricket'
The loud buzz of the tree crickets would make any normal person go insane after awhile, Morgan finds it soothing. When she presses the radio for a little more noise around her, Miranda Lambert's Fastest Girl In Town blares out. She hums along softly, and checks her phone.
Well good. Because I remember you.

Are we really going on a date you didn't ask me on?
Yes..?
Unless you don't want to, tree cricket
Well of course I want to,
The sound of tires on gravel startles her, and she looks up to see her mother's car pulling up the driveway. Quickly, she texts,
Gtg. Talk to you when I can.
She quickly turns off the phone as the car rolls to a stop. Ugh. She did bring David. She rolls her eyes, and smiles fakely at her mother. "Morgan!" She smiles, and walks up to the porch to hug her. "Hey Stephanie," Morgan hugged her back, even though the scent of whiskey and cigarettes overwhelmed her. Stephanie kept her arm wrapped around Morgan's torso, signaling to David to come into the house and leave the bags. They walk ahead of him, into the house, when it dawns on her. Ethan called her Tree Cricket.
