Chapter 9

I really hate writers block. I spent most of to day trying to write this story.

Anyway hope you enjoy and plz comment and vote. I really like feedback even if it says the story is rubbish.

Maliks pov

I remembering falling after I put on the necklace and now... I'm here. wherever here is?

"Hey where am i!" I shout into the endless darkness

This isn't the shadow realm I thought so where am i?!

"Malik" says a calm voice in the darkness

"Who are you?!" I shout

"You forgot your promise"

"I have no idea what ur talking about?! what promise!?" I shouted getting angrier

"Remember" says the voice

"How!?" I growl

Then the necklace glows. a path of light is formed. I walk on this path till I reach a doorway I open it and fall. I don't shout or scream because I knew I wouldn't get hurt. I look at the city below me. Egypt. this is a memory I think to my self. but who's? I then noticed I'm in one of the rooms of the place. it is dark outside.

"Malik" says the same voice as before," these are your memories you can't affect what happens here but the past me can see you"

"Where am i?" I ask even though I already knew

"Watch and find out"

A door is opened and light streams into the room.

Joey was dragging aika. she was crying trying to get away. Why didn't she scream I thought

"This your fault!" joey says once the door was closed

"Stop he won't like you more if you do this" her voice full of fear

"Shut up he spends all his free time with his precious cousin. you stole him from me! now you will pay!" joey shouts I also notice he is drunk

Joey grabs aika and throws here onto the bed. I knew what was happening but couldn't move. aika looked at me with pleading eyes. I wanted to stop joey he was going to regret this. I looked into aika's eyes before saying.

"I will help you in the future I make this promise as I am unable to do so now" then it hits me this is the promise I forgot

joey then rapes aika. I close my eyes and leave finally being able to move.

I am again in the darkness and I look around the path of light was still there but not as bright.

"You now remember the promise but you need to remember me before you can leave." aika says

"Aika who are you?" I say to myself

The necklace glows again creating another path of light which I follow. I fall into a village. this is my home! I look at the streets and people I remembered well from my childhood. then there was a girl.

She looked like a younger version of aika. she was talking to her guards. I then noticed the younger me walking alone not looking where I was going. I bumped into her. the guards lift me up about to throw me when she says something

"Hello what's your name" the guards look confused and put me down

"Malik and yours?"

"Aika pleasure to meet you" she puts here hand out which I shake

"Ummm..." was all I could say

"Would you visit me in the palace someday?" she asks

"Ummm..... sure?" I say uncertain

"Good visit me soon as trouble follows you like a moth to a flame" she turns and walks away

"Hey what if I don't?" I shout

"You will I know it" she is looking at me as in me not my younger version.

When our eyes connect memories of me telling aika about myself and my problems flood into my mind. I used to leave happy and come back sad. I was a stupid child. but I stopped going after a while and the anger built up and I became a criminal. All my memories of aika where erased. I couldn't even see her it was as if she wasn't there anymore. then I realised it was because she wasn't. After I stopped visiting she no longer left the palace unless dragged by her cousin seth. and she didn't want to go out because joey would blame her for making Seth go with her. she started to lose herself because I stopped visiting her. I was her only friend I realised. then a blinding light bought me back to reality

"You do!" I heard everyone shout
