The voices begin to resurface in my head, as though having a discussion amongst each other. Everything suddenly turned red, as though I was seeing everything through a bloody filter. Time seemed to have stopped, as Cinder was still holding her blade out and Rain below remained sitting as though he were frozen. Only I kept looking around, wondering where these voices were coming from.
Eventually, one voice spoke up, louder than the rest, in a foreboding manner.

Don't do it.

Suddenly, pain flashed through my skull as I closed my eyes and grasped my head. Looking up, I saw Cinder still holding out the sword, amused but curious.

Cinder: Need time? Unfortunately there isn't any for us.
Me: No it's alright. I have made my decision.

I reached for her sword and grabbed it, she let go and suddenly a warm feeling flowed through my hand. Like it had bonded with me. Looking up, I saw Cinder looking away from me and at the buildings far away from the port.

Me: I won't.

Cinder spun around suddenly, shocked.

Cinder: What?
Me: I won't allow him the mercy of dying. His deeds will be exposed for the whole world to see, and I will make sure of it.
Cinder: And how are you about to do that?
Me: Simple. I'll take those assassination contract papers and show them to Ozpin. His signature and contacts might be enough to provide a huge blow to Ironwood if exposed.
Cinder: Why might Ozpin ever consider taking out his own ally? Where he has little to nothing to gain?

I smiled at her devilishly.

Me: Oh but he does. After all, nobody appreciates Atlesian military snooping around in Vale.

Cinder looked blank for a moment, then her face broke into a triumphant grin.

Cinder: Perfect. I like this plan already. Would you like me to steal those papers for you?
Me: No need, you have done enough and I can't risk you getting hurt here.

She shrugged at that.

Cinder: Very well.

As she turned away, I whisper-shouted at her

Me: What about your sword?!

Cinder still had her back turned at me when she said:
Cinder: Keep it.

After that, she swan-dived off of the warehouse roof.

I looked back down as Rain began to leave the place, turning off the lights. As soon as the gate closed, I jumped down. Problem was, I forgot about the turrets.

As soon as I landed, the turrets made a beeping noise, before hailing down bullets at me. I immediately concentrated aura to defend against the bullets, but instead I had that same sense of nausea I had earlier that day and suddenly the bullets rebounded at the turrets. The machines began to spark before abruptly blowing up, as I made my escape to the skyline above by shadow phasing to the place.
The warehouse door opened once more, followed by a very unmanly shriek.

Rain: What the fuck happened here?! Why are my turrets blown up? Why do my walls have holes?

A moment of silence followed.

Rain: WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE CONTRACT PAPERS?!!!

Chuckling to myself, I began to make my escape over the warehouses until reaching the last one. Shadow phasing to a distant rooftop, I began to continue making my way to Beacon. If my assassins were on the prowl for me, it's better to not stay on the ground.

At least one good came off of this ordeal. I learnt how to use two Ekon powers.

Eventually, I reached the skyport and to my horrific luck, a bullhead was already leaving. Raising my hand once more, I concentrated the dark shadow over the roof and closed my palm. The dark shadows pulled me to the roof of the bullhead, where I suddenly collapsed. Clutching my throat, I realized the repercussions to using these powers.
