A loud knocking sounds at the front door of lodge apartment. Veronica goes to the door and open it. She is confused as she looks into the face of a crying Alice smith.
"Sweetheart who is at the door?" called Hermione from the living room.
"Mom, I think you should come to the door" she answered.
"Oh god honey, what's happening?" Hermione pulls Alice in a hug. She stroked the blonde over her back to calm her down.
"Do you remember in high school?" Asked Alice.
"You mean..?" Hermione looks at her belly and Alice nodded.
"Veronica", Hermione looks at her daughter "Yes, mom?"
"Take my pure and go out the apartment.
"Come Al, we go in the living room, " she led Alice slowly to the Couch. Hermione grabbed Alice and covered her with the blanket than she give her handkerchiefs "Tell me what happen Alice. The full story."
"it's started for a few months, Fp and I see each other again. First, it was meaningless sex"
Hermione pulled up an eyebrow. The two were never meaningless, the brunette had never understood why the couple had separated. The two were made for each other. Alice groaned,
"than feelings came to it and we were in a relationship for five months it was so perfect. He was so sweet and caring. We kept our relationship secret because we didn't want Betty and Jughead feel unconfrontable.
Fp climbed through my window at night or we met at Whyte Wyrm in his office. Fortunately the children were often away in the summer and we could also meet there.And now a week ago Gladys came back with Jellybean.
I said to Fp he should go back to his family, because Jughead was so happy that his mother is back and I did not want to be the reason why his family is no longer together.

Oh God Betty will kill me when she finds out. 40 and pregnant, what will people think? what will Fp think?"Alice started to sob.

While driving to the supermarket the girl ponders why Alice is so upset and sad. Betty's mother had changed a lot in the last few months. Since her ex-husband's in prison, she's a whole new person. Betty tells how well and her mother get along with each other and about the trips they do and that they talk about topics they avoided earlier. Veronica packed a few flavors of chocolate in the cart, she didn't not know what the mother of her best friend likes. She went into the aisle with the ice cream and packed a few packs in the shopping cart.
"Veronica what do you have plans for?" Asked a deep man's voice, she turned and saw the face of Jughead's father.
"Girl's night", she answered curtly.
"Then I wish you a lot of fun, " he mumbled and smiled at her
"Thank you Mr. Jones, best regards to Jughead, "
"Thank you, greet your mother for me"
"Not that I forget,nice greetings also to your wife and daughter, Jughead are so happy that his family is complete again."
Fps gaze darkened at the words and the girl could swear that she saw the grief in his brown eyes. She was confused, wasn't he happy?
Jughead had said that his father is doing better, he does not drink anymore and you got his life under control since he works at pops
Then she goes to the checkstand and drive home.
Veronica goes in the living room, her mother has an arm around Alice shoulders, She put the purchase on the table and got two spoons. She wanted to go to her room when she remembered that she should greet her mother.
"Mom, I want to say hello to you from Mister Jones" Veronica saw Alice's face change and she starts sobbing again. The girl looked confused,
"Thanks, sweetie, would you like to watch a movie with us? If Alice agrees? " Hermione asked. Alice nodded, "alright mom, I'll leave you both alone." Veronica smiled encouragingly at Alice.
"Ms Smith No matter who or what the reason is that you are not so well, he is not worth it and I am sure that everything will be fine again"
