Heart beats
cheeks heat.
Looking eye to eye
we're living lie to lie.
I watch you walk away,
My feelings still at bay.
Just Friends, we say.
But how long can we stay that way.
Crushing defeat,
I walk down the street.
Anything so you'll look my way,
and give me the time of day.
Just Friends, you repeat.
feeling left hiding behind the sheet.
Hand's shake,
heart ache.
Tears start,
now i'm falling apart.
With this one way feeling,
my head is reeling.
Just friends, I stutter.
We're only just friends, Is all I can utter.
Heart break,
I lay awake.
Your face in my head,
along with things you've said.
Just friends, you said.
Those two words i dread.
