''Ugh I died again, the freaking controller won't work!'' I whined. Nathan looked at me and laughed, he's been teaching my how to play Halo for 2 hours now, I just can't seem to get the jist of it.

''Ok im only going to tell you one more time you can't keep relying on the veichles and you keep forgetting your grenades.'' He said, laughing. I pushed the left button one more time and bang, I just got killed (for the 6th time.) We had to keep restarting the game just because I forgot the tiniest things. Nathan was quite understanding though, he just laughed it off and guided me through it again. If I say so myself I think Im quite good for a begginner, Nathan however seems to think the opposite. This is the first time i've actually paid attention to something video game related, I never really bother with this kind of stuff it's all a bit too complicated but 2 hours on Halo and I think im actually starting to enjoy myself.

''I suck.'' I sighed, staring down at the controller. ''This is all you fault, if you weren't so damn demented when I press your button maybe you would actually learn to work!'' I shouted at the controller. Nathan was laughing his head off in the background while I was talking to a battery operated thing. Despite his obsession for video-games he didn't act 10 at all, he acted much older and he was mature, he knew bigger words than I did.

''I usually don't like babysitter's but your actually cool.'' He said, his smile made me smile. When he smiled he showed everyone of his teeth and it looked so adorable that it made me want to smile back at him. ''So do I get the best babysitter award of the year?'' I asked, proudly. He nodded, I could tell he was holding in a laugh.

''Do you always have babysitters?'' I asked, wondering. I saw hurt in his eyes.

''Yeah, my Mum's always at work so me and my brother end up having some stranger looking after us, it sucks.'' He said, he shrugged off the hurt he was feeling.

''Im sure it's not that bad.'' I said, trying to make him feel better.

''Well when the baby sitter happens to be a girl they usually fetch a boy round and I don't really like to see people kissing in front of me, it just reminds me of my parents and how they used to kiss, ever since my Dad left my Mum's not really been in any relationships and I guess she sealed her feelings up by doing work.'' He said quietly. I felt comfortable listening to him openeing up so much to me.

''Well I promise not to bring any boy's round.'' I said, smiling.

''Thanks Ella.'' His eyes lit up with laughter.

''You think we should check on your brother and his ice-cream creation?'' I asked. I let Nathan's brother James make his own ice-cream and put in star wars for him to watch now all we can hear downstars is the freezer being opened, probably James getting more ice-cream.

Nathan nodded grinning his signature grin. ''Race ya.'' He shouted before jumping up from his feet and running downstairs, I growled and followed him.

We got to the kitchen and saw James standing on top of the kitchen counter with a bowl of ice-cream in his hand. ''James what are you doing?'' I asked, giggling. He had chocolate ice-cream all round his mouth.

''Trying to reach the ceiling.'' He said, like it was an everyday thing to touch the ceiling. I laughed and walked over to the counter holding my arms out, he jumped into them and I set him on the ground. James is 6 by the way. He's short with curly blonde hair and green eyes.

''Will you leave us like the rest of them?'' James asked, I looked down into his green eyes to see the sadness flooding through them.

''What do you mean?'' I asked.

''James always gets attatched to the babysitter's and he ends up devastated when they quit because they get sick of us.'' Nathan answered for him. I bent down next to James and smiled slightly. ''I won't leave you.'' I said quietly, my eyes wandering into Nathan's who was stood opposite us, his lips curved into a smile.

''Shall we go watch the end of star wars?'' I asked, sounding excited.

''Do you know what happens in it?'' James asked in return. I nodded my head feeling proud of myself.

''Luke turns out to be Darth Vader father and they all live happily ever after.'' I said smiling, They both burst out laughing and I frowned wondering what I said wrong.

''Your crazy!'' James shouted at me, his giggles filled the room.

I gasped pretending to be shocked. ''And your small.'' I teased, poking his belly, which only made him giggle more.

''Come on.'' I laughed holding his hand and pulling him into the hallway. ''You too Natey pie!'' I squeeled, letting my other hand grip onto Nathan's, holding his hand sent a tingle through my body, I felt my face flush so I turned to hide it.

''Natey pie?'' Nathan asked, raising his eyebrows.

''It's your new nickname obviously.'' I said, winking. He smiled and squeezed my hand as we walked into the living room. His touch made me feel safe, i'd never felt safe before.
