We were watching the end of star wars when the door flew open and Nicole came in grinning like crazy. The sofa felt lighter as Nathan got up and switched the dvd player off.

''Were they good?'' Nicole asked me, I noticed Nathan frowning in the background.

''Yeah, I had fun.'' I said, smiling. Nicole dug into her pocket and pulled out a ten pound note.

''No, you don't have to give me anything.'' I urged as she pushed the money into my hand

''Listen, I know the boys are a lot to handle, I struggle a lot of the time and I was wondering if you could do this permanently?'' She asked, her eyes pleaded.

James was stood next to me before I could say anything.

''Please, please please Ella!'' He shouted, hugging onto my leg. I laughed and patted his head like a puppy.

''I'd love to.'' I replied to Nicole, her eyes lit up. I ushed themoney back in her hand and smiled at Nathan reassuringly.

''Well you can stay for a bit longer if you want.'' Nicole offered, I knew she probably didn't want me to so I said no.

''Cya'' I called out, closing the door behind me. I walked down the garden path in the cold, the garden actually looked dead, people probably think that there is no life at all in this house with the state of their garden. I was just about to open the gate when someone tapped me on my shoulder, I turned around and Nathan's eyes gleamed at me. ''Thanks for today.'' He said quietly.

I smiled and pulled him into a hug, It felt comforting being around him. ''Bye.'' I whispered into his hair as he let go of me.

When I got home I ran stright upstairs and blocked my Mother's groans out with my earphones, I just hope Daniel's not in there with her again. Il be so embarrassed to go back to school, just to see his face will bring back memory's.

I sighed as I let Elvis's voice run thrugh my ears from my earphones. I had enough of hearing the background noises, I got up and grabbed my mobile, jabbing in the numbers furiously.

''Hello?'' Jessica said as I put the phone to my ear.

''Jess it's Elle can I sleep over at your house tonight?'' I asked, knowing she'd say yes.

''Im with someone right now but course you can.'' She said, I could see the smile on her face. I wonder who she was with.

I hung up and pulled on my coat, trying to have a bit of common sense this time since it's winter.

I ran downstairs and through the front door. It's not like my Mum would actually notice I was gone, she hardly notices I exist in everydaylife.
