Flora's Point of View

Never been I've told that this child would grow this strong and very patience. Like her mother she possesses a brave personality and a mature attitude only the daughter of layla had.

I watched her as she sleep, that night when she was having her first cold. she told me before she pass out that if she ever get a fever or a cold it would be her first cold, that would literally happen in her entire existence.

I thought she was just exaggerating when she told me ‘that’ but I was wrong when her temperature drops really fast! a sign that her body is not familiar of the said symptom.

She was freezing cold and shivering from her current situation, the poor girl wasn't lucky for having a father like Rodger that son of a bitch.
I would smack that smart head he had if it wasn't for the fact that he's my boss and the husband of my late best friend tch.

I stood from where I was sitting and left her room to fetch some lukewarm water to help her at least make her fever go down. As I was filling the small tub, it seems like old memories came flooding in my head, from the beginning to end.

Where the memories of mine and layla were all fresh, to our childhood days, how she got her first prom dance and her engagement with Rodger, Actually, he was okay, Rodger was okay.
when he ask the hand of layla for Marriage. He ask her hand with respect to her family.
He even ask my permission even though he is not required to, but he insisted, I was touch by his actions towards layla so apparently We, together with layla's family we agreed of His proposal.

Rodger showed and showered his worth and affection on layla, in every passing days and possible ways, their marriage starts after they consummated their union.
Rodger kept his words, to cherished and to love layla forever until then the Lord grace them with a beautiful gift and that is Zerah, the girl beside me whose having her first ever fever.

Their family was the perfect picture of love, but unfortunately all story never ends up with rainbows and happy endings, I just heard the news that layla came to an accident that leads her to a sudden death and ends up leaving her only daughter to her husband.

I watched her from afar, how she grow up and how Rodger treated her since layla's death.
He began to distance his self to his daughter, he drowned himself to paperwork's until he became a workaholic monster, he never had time to give a glimpse to his daughter knowing if she was doing fine or even have a knowledge if her daughter was still breathing.
