Last Day Before the Tour
Sunday, October 1st

Jadie puts her school work off until tomorrow, after Michael leaves. She wanted to spend all the time she could with him.

Michael sits on a tree branch above Jadie. They had been there all morning, only leaving to get something to eat. "I'm going to miss you a lot, Mikey." She tells him, leaning against the Oak tree.

"I'll be back before you know it." He looks down at her and sighs. He rests his head on his palm.

"I know, but it's going to get lonely. It'll feel like an eternity before you come back." Jadie swings her legs back and forth.

Michael changes the subject. It pains him to leave her alone, expecially talking about it.

J looks at the puffy clouds. Michael starts humming a song he sang to her a couple days ago. 'Rock With You' is what he calls it.

Michael wants to branch out from The Jackson 5 and pursue a solo artist career. He wrote plenty of songs and was ready for it. Michael did grow up always practicing and perfecting his already great abilities.

"You want to go get ice cream?" He asks, after he takes a deep breath. It was hard for them to go out and Michael not get noticed. Jadie only realized that after she first heard him on the radio. She thought he was popular because he was new here and it was a small town.

She nods and starts to climb down the tree. Michael follows her down. They walk through his house and make their way to the car. He grabs the set of car keys and tells Katherine, J and him are leaving.

He opens the passenger door for Jadie, as per usual. They buckle up and lave the driveway. "Left on Chesa, right?" Michael asks her, refreshing his memory. They pull up to a red light in the center lane. A car full of girls pull up to the right of them.

The girls start pointing and waving at us. Faintly, Michael and Jadie hear them scream about him. "Is that Michael? That is Michael Jackson from The Jackson 5. Oh my god! It's actually Michael! I love you!" They hang out the car windows screaming. Michael waves at the girls and smiles, shyly. "He's so cute!"

His cheeks turn pink from their words.

"Michael! Michael! Michael!" The group starts chanting. Jadie looks at the stoplight, waiting for it to turn green.

"Who is that girl, Michael!?" One with brown hair and glasses asks him, yelling loudly over the others.

Finally, the light turns green and Michael steps on it. The yelling of the girls becomes distant as he turns left away from them. Jadie giggles at him. His facial expressions during the interaction was adorable. He went from confused, to shocked, then shy!

"Why are you lauging?" Michael asks her. She shook her head and shrugged as if to say, 'I don't know.'

"They really love you, huh?" She leans against the door. He nods. "And I'm grateful for their love and support."

Michael turns right onto Kingston and speeds up. "You forgot the blinker." J points out.

"Stop backseat driving. You're not innocent either! I saw you run over that curb last week. Five times." Michael laughs.

"But I'm not in the backseat and I couldn't see the sun was shining in my eyes." Jadie looks at him defensively. He turns again without the blinker.

"You forgot the blinker, again." This is the perfect time to get her. Michael smirks to himself.

"I think the car is out of blinker fluid. Let's stop at the shop up the street."

She nods, clueless about cars. He pulls into the parking lot of the auto shop. He turns to her, "Could you go inside and ask the worker to get you some?" Michael hands her $20.
