Maddie exhaled. The cave they were in was dark and creepy. When her brother whose name she now knew was Drew, had granted her her wish of finding Simba. He was able to open a portal to where Simba was, as long as he was in the general vicinity.
As Maddie quietly contemplated what do to when she found Simba, Drew chanted ancient dragonic words and the cave became alight with the golden glow of the moss that was on the walls of the cave. Maddie flinched at the brightness of the portal, as it sucked in strands of the moss and weaved it into a flat, circular disc.
Drew stepped back and turned his head toward Maddie. "If you want to find your friend, you have to think about him. Picture him in your head."
Maddie closed her eyes and pictured Simba, in his splendor. He was a huge golden cat, with sparkling blue sapphire eyes, and his little tufts of hair that stuck up on his ears.
Simba was the son of a lynx named Crakl, who was an esteemed military leader, and a lioness, who worked in the rose castle kitchens, as the head sous chef. He was trained as a strategic military captain and implemented the plan of putting an army base called ROSE1. It was stationed at the peninsula where Narwhale Bay becomes the Endless Sea.
She shook her head and looked back at the portal, which had now turned to a shimmering emerald green color. Drew explained, "That means that it's looking for him." Drew grimaced "Or that it can't find him. "
Maddie shook her head, trying to concentrate on Simba. The portal glowed red than orange and got hot.
"It's working!" Drew shouted excitedly. The portal was complete, and it now showed a startlingly clear image of a clearing on a cliff, overlooking Supeina's castle.
Maddie jumped in shock, as she could see Supeina gazing out of a window, with cold black eyes. Maddie followed her stare, to a small remote little building. Drew narrowed his eyes "That is where Simba is being kept. The castle's grounds are all guarded by spells, but the shack is guarded by spells older than the Theyats. I can sense Simba inside there."
Maddie nodded "Thank you for all your help, brother. I cannot thank you enough." Maddie inched forward, hesitantly putting her foot through the portal. It shimmered and glowed a touch brighter. As Maddie stood there, a small tear rolled down her cheek. "Until we meet again."
Drew looked up and smiled "Until we meet again."And with that, Maddie walked through.
