Cats began to crowd around Panicscar, overwhelming the she-cat.
"What happened?" A paw prodded her side.
Panicscar ducked under a cat and escaped the crowd, and turned back towards them.
"Shardfang's been taken. I must speak with Curlstar. Now," She whisked her tail towards the leader.
The hazel-colored tom shot her a glare of annoyance before padding towards the leader's den.
"Hold on." Panicscar put a paw in front of the leader, stopping him from going any farther.
"What?" He growled, his tail twitching.
"Do you have a medicine cat?" She turned towards him, and her pelt was turned silver with the moonlight.
His green eyes widening, the leader answered, "Of course."
"Thornwhisker! Could you come over here for a moment?" Panicscar watched as a graceful she-cat walked over to the cats.
"Yes, Curlstar?" She meowed, her voice as soothing as honey.
"Panicscar needed you." He glanced towards the scarred she-cat. The leader sat down peacefully to watch the two medicine cats.
"Do you have any dock, chervil, or cobwebs?"
"Yes," Thornwhisker purred.
"Please treat Vineclaw and Mistletoepaw first," Panicscar ordered.
The ginger she-cat rolled her eyes when she meowed the FogClan deputy's name.
"I gave him a few deep cuts." She meowed, and tore up the floor at her paws.
He has feelings too.
Panicscar watched the MistClan medicine cat pad towards her den, and reappear with her jaws full of herbs.
"Let's go, Curlstar." Panicscar nudged the tom with a paw.
The MistClan leader padded towards a crack in the Tall Rock, and slipped inside.
This is just like being at FogClan's camp again. She growled softly when she entered the small den.
Curlstar sat down in front of her.
"What do you need?" He meowed, meeting her gaze.
Panicscar winced to see the same seriousness as her own within him.
"Shardfang was taken by some cat named Barkpelt." As she mewed the tom's name, Curlstar let out a gasp and his eyes widened with horror.
The MistClan leader leapt to his paws, and paced around his den in agitation. "Barkpelt? How? How is this— I thought we'd driven them away, although we did find Shardfang in the forest after Grayheart had been killed."
The large tom turned to face Panicscar and asked her, "What other information do you have? And more importantly, what is Barkpelt planning to do?"
Panicscar stared at the rock above her head before digging through her brain and replaying the toms words in her head, "Hmm, he said that he would 'make MistClan powerful' or something like that."
Curlstar gritted his teeth, and mumbled, "Great. He's probably planning to invade the camp. Not again..." Curlstar grumbled.
"We must warn the rest of MistClan and the others. Now!" Curlstar lashed his tail when she moved to block the entrance.
"The others don't care about Shardfang, do they?" Panicscar asked. Curlstar's eyes widened with indignation.
"Y-yes. They do." He protested.
