What is wrong with me?

"You will never make it out Elena. I will find you and hurt both you and your sister to get what I want," the dark shadow said to me.

"Leave me alone. You will never have us."

He laughed and my wound started hurting worse. I groaned in pain and clutched my stomach tight.

I looked up and said, "What did you do to me? Why arent I healing?"

He just laughed and started fateing away.

"Come back."

Silence

"COME BACK PLEASE."

Silence

"Elena wake up."

Shaking

"Elena wake up it was just a nightmare."

I opened my eyes and Nathaniel had a worried look on his face. I sat up and wiped the sweat off my forehead.

"Elena I'm worried about you. You are really pale and your sweating like crazy. Maybe I should call the doctor."

I grabbed his arm harshly and said, "No don't. I know whats wrong with me but i will be fine I just need to feed thats all."

I got up slowly and clutched the wall feeling dizzy. "Are the kids ready?"

"Yes their downstairs waiting for us."

I walked to the bathroom and noticed how bad I really looked. I took off my makeup and splashed water on my face.

"Wait for me downstairs I will be there in a few mins let me just fix my makeup and put shoes on."

He didnt say anything and just left. Once i saw him close the door i locked the bathroom door and lifted my shirt and saw it was spreading. This isn't good. What was on that knife.

When I finsihed my makeup and putting on my tenis shoes i walked down stairs and got my keys.

"Come on everyone get in the car lets go."

I limped a little to the car and handed the keys to Nathaniel to drive cause I couldn't.

It took two hours to get to the beach but once we got there the kids ran out With happy smiles one their faces. i smiled just seeing them so happy and that i could do something right for them.

Me, Nathaniel, Molly, Abby, and Jessica all walked to the beach and set up the chairs and relaxed.

I winced a little sitting down but I was okay. The wound has been speading and got worse while I was sleeping. Who is doing this to me?

"Elena why don't you put on your bathing suit and go in the water with everyone."

I fidgeted and said, "I'm not really in the mood to get in the water. This was more for the kids then for me."

I got up and and started walking along the the beach feeling the water hit my feet. This is so peaceful. I haven't had time to take in the fresh air and admire how much I am greatful for.

We stayed at the beach for two hours walking around laughing and eating ice creams. After everyone was tired we started heading back.

My wound is getting worse and I'm getting weaker by the minute. Nathaniel has been worried and have tried asking me whats wrong but I just can't bare letting him know I'm hurting or worse, dying.

Once we got to the house I made everyone gather up. Everyone was staring at me waiting. I felt dizzy and I was sweating.

"Um Tonight like I promised we will go hunting after everyone has had enough we will come back then u guys can do what u want. Does anyone got questions?"

Chris stepped up and said, "Why do you look so pale and sick?"

I coughed roughly and said, "Its nothing that you guys have to worry about but I want you guys to know I love you and whatever happens to me just know I did the best i could to protect you guys."

"Please tell us what's wrong. You look like your dying. I don't want to lose you I just met you I can't lose you so soon," Emma said.

She gave me a big hug and I heard her sob. I held tight to her biting my lip trying not to cry.

I pulled back and held her face in my hands, "I will be better soon I am not going anywhere. Enough with the tears go get cleaned up so we can go feast tonight."

I smiled weakly and started limping lightly up the stairs. Every step was painful. I really need to find out what this guy did to me and fast before I break my promise to Emma.
