Chapter 9

~Courtney~

I woke up the next day hoping it was all a dream, but i woke up in the same hotel room, why does it have to be us that goes through this? What did we ever do to deserve this? I went on my knees beside my bed and prayed that everything will be better. it has been awhile since i actually did that. My phone rang,

I looked at the caller ID but it said private number, i picked it up anyways incase it was the police. "Hello?" i said, "Hello this is Officer Jones calling in for the case of the the attackers by the names of Samuel Wilkinson, Jacob Whitesides, and Nick Pascal, good news for you guys.

We have managed to finally get a lead on where they are, so we predict that their arrest will be coming soon and you guys can live a safe life from now on. I promise you."

I was glad to hear some goodnews for once, but should i tell them about Brit? "Thank you officer, im just glad to hear some good news for once" Nope. "Your welcome, Madame. Have a good rest of the day now" he said before hanging up.

I sighed and fell back into my pillow. After laying there for a bit and thinking, i decided to get ready for the day. Even though we probably arent going to do much because most of us are to scared to do anything. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, but being in this sucky hotel they dont have much channels. Ugh....

I called mikaylah to check on britney, "Hey mikaylah?" i asked, "Yeah?" she replied "Hows britney doing?" "Shes just sleeping right now, she finally calmed down after what happened last night" "Thats good to hear" "I was going to suggest we take her somewhere to calm down, but its too dangerous for us to be out right now"

"Yeah" "Lets just have one of the police officers bring some stuff for us" "Lets get her some food, a movie, and a costco teddy bear." "Yeah that will probably distract her for a bit" "you think so?" "Yeah well I'll tell them now see you in a bit" and she ended the call

Once we got everything together we went to brits room since we got her and surprised her when she was asleep, everything went pretty well, then her head started to hurt, she asked us all to leave because she didnt want to put all of us in danger, but we had Gilinsky stay with her because he was the strongest of most of us.

~Britney~

"Jack" i said to him, "Yes, princess?" he replied, it was odd how he called us girls princesses sometimes, it was mostly when we were sick or just upset, it was probably to make us feel better. "When do you think this is going to be over?" i asked him. we were both laying in bed, he was on hisd phone and i was looking at the view out of the window.

"Hopefully soon, then we can all get back to normal again" he said with a soothing tune in his voice. "To be honest jack, i dont think everything can be like it was before, before all of this has happened." i said. "It can be if we try hard enough," he was so calm about everything, i am an extreme danger to him but he acts as if its the most normal thing in the world.

"Jack" i said, "Hm?" he hummed in reply."How are you so calm about this?" i asked him in confusion. "I just dont think too much about it, if you dont think too much about it then it can feel like another day passing by in our life, you get what im saying?" he explained, "Yeah, but im an extreme danger to you, like if they get control of my mind this very moment, i cant control what happens and i could kill you...I dont want you or anyone to...you know leave..." 

He puts his phone down and rolls over and faces me, he lets out a breath that seemed he has been holding for some time. "Britney, for now lets not think about it and just rest for now okay? i dont want you too worry about it, im not leaving, nor is any of the others. lets go to sleep okay?" he said to me, i nodded and cuddled into him, i closed my eyes, i always thought jack as my best friend, nothing more nothing less.

i know we dont talk too much but hes so down to earth when not many are around, usually you would see his silly and weird side when hes with a group of people, but when its like one or two he is just so deep in emotions. Its intresting, i soon let the darkness of slumber take over my mind and let my body rest from all the worries and all the bad thoughts in my head to shut off. 

~Hours later~

~Gilinsky~

I awake to the sound of someone crying, i sit up and wipe the sleepiness from my eyes, to see britney in the corner with her head in her hands and shes sitting in a ball. I walk over to her "Britney whats wrong?" i asked, i took one of her hands away and she looked up at me and one of her eyes was pitch black,

"Jack, leave, please, i dont want you to get hurt. Its happening again" she said through her sobs. "No im staying here with you and im going to help you," i said in an urgent and stern voice."No..No jack, i cant control it, just leave, please i dont want to hurt you" she said, Soon both of her eyes were pitched black, and suddenly i found myself against the wall across the room.

I groaned but got up instantly. I ran over to her, she was now standing, her usual tan skin was now as pale as snow. I grabbed both of her arms, she was fighting back, but i managed to keep a grip on her. "Britney! Britney! listen to me! i know your still in there, in your mind! You can over power this chip that they implanted! Listen to me Brit! its me jack! Jack Gilinsky! You have to listen to me! Come back to us! You can do it!"

"Who's Britney? This is Sammy" She said. "Sam! why do you have to do this?! i thought we were all friends?!" I said. "Oh no no, we were never friends, it was just a mere thought that you had" he replied. "Let her Go Sam! She doesnt deserve this!" i yelled, soon everyone came bursting through the door because of all the commotion.

"Dude! Whats going on!?" yelled hayes. "Its Sam! hes talking from britneys body! its happening again!" Then she laughed evily, "Oh what joy it is to see everyone together for one last time!" he said, i was confused, "What do you mean one last time?!" yelled mikaylah, "I mean this" he said, i lost grip of britneys arms and she ran over to a drawer, both hayes and i ran over, she pulled a gun out and pointed it to her head.

"NO DONT DO THIS! DONT DO THIS TO HER!" Hayes yelled, the door closed, we were all pushed back against the wall by a force, how the hell is this happening?! "BRITNEY! PLEASE I KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE SOMEWHERE!! DONT LET THEM DO THIS PLEASE! BECAUSE IF YOU DO THEN WE WONT GET TO SEE YOU ANYMORE!! PLEASE BRITNEY! I WANT YOU TO STAY, WE ALL WANT YOU TO STAY!! I NEED MY BEST FRIEND HERE WITH ME! PLEASE! I NEED YOU! i KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME! KNOCK OUT OF IT! PLEASE BRITNEY!" Mikaylah yelled through her sobs,

Britneys hands were slightly shaking, it was kind of working! Her eyes flickered back to normal for a couple seconds, they showed strength, but yet fear. "BRITNEY LISTEN TO US, I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR US! PLEASE DONT LET THEM HAVE THE POWER OVER YOU! ITS YOUR BODY! PLEASE BRITNEY!" Hayes yelled "Hayes?" she replied, her eyes flickered again but went back to black and then...
