What?! How dare you use me in this way. I wont do it!"
Her father is sitting on his throne looking down at her. He expected this from his head strong daughter. But this was her duty as a fire princess. The ONLY fire princess.
"Yanda, you dont have a choice. This will give me a way in to securing power. You will do your duty for the fire nation."
Yanda stomps off from the throne room to her favorite spot. A cliff overseeing a lake of bubbling lava. She screams into it sending violent explosions out of the lake.
"It isnt fair! How could he do this to me! Marrying me to our enemy, of all people. And not even an heir to the throne, but the youngest son! Disgusting!"
Further away, much further away in a much cooler climate a white haired young man stands in front of his father. He reacts to the news of his impending marriage to their enemy's daughter with silence. He had always been treated differently than his siblings. He supposed he should feel lucky that they considered him important enough for an arranged marriage to encourage peace. It didnt matter to him who she was, he would rather just be left alone. He raises his hand hand to his chest, his other hand in a fist and bows to his father, the king. "Yes father!" He waits a moment to see if there is anything else and on hearing nothing more he turns and walks calmly back to his room.
He sits calmly wondering how his life might change. Did the fire nation know that their daughter was being married to an immortal who could not cast spells? Although he could in fact cast them, he kept it a secret, even from his beloved brother. He had discovered he could cast spells when he came of age suddenly. The only problem was that he seemed to not be casting the same spells as his siblings. He was quite certain he shouldn't be able to cast fire spells and yet that was one of the first spells he cast.
