Later that evening, with the entire kingdom and many from most all known kingdoms, watched as the ice prince and mermaid princess were wed. When the mermaid princess finally made an appearence, everyone gasped at her beauty. Many had never seen a mermaid. Noone had ever seen anyone so beautiful. Pettles magically fell from the ceiling as she entered, being carried in a covered and decorated seat by 6 porters. Her dress, when she walked, seemed to move as fluidly as water and seemed to change from shades of white, to blues, to greens depending on where the light hit. It was the largest and most attended wedding ever held by the ice kingdom and many would continue to talk about the event for many years after it had passed. Though not everything went so smoothly, few would remember those moments.

Two things happened that night which would change the course of history for several people. During the wedding ceremony as the mermaid princess was being carried down the isle, the groom caught sight of an envoy guardian. He was suddenly memerized. He couldn't explain it, but it was as if he recognized who she was and had known and loved her his whole life. He locked eyes with her and saw in her eyes a mirror of what he felt. He knew then and there that she had the same thoughts as he did in that moment. The moment was broken and the ice prince was brought back to reality as the bridal chair passed in front of the mortal soldier. The wedding went on as planned, as the grooms heart sank, no longer having any of his heart left for his bride.

Another event happened later that night, much later. As the party was winding down Ying Kong Shi came back down to the party. He saw his brother still there, bidding farewell to his guests. His bride was missing from his side. He walked up, ready to tease him regarding his missing spouse, but halted when he saw the sadness behind his eyes. He blinked at his brother in confusion. "Brother, why aren't you with your bride at this hour? She is surely waiting for you in the bridal chamber." The groom turned to his brother with a sad smile. "You're right, she is surely waiting for me." Ka Suo looked down for a few moments, then gave his brother another sad smile, slapped his hand on his brothers shoulder and walked in the direction of his rooms. The youngest ice prince looked on in confusion, wondering what had made his brother so sad on his wedding day. But he didnt have much chance to dwell on it. A black fog came laughing into the hall like the wind, startling the few remaining guests. It laughed on for a short time trailing through the air and then left through the ceiling just as quickly as it had entered. Ying Kong Shi, wondered where he had heard the laughter before as it seemed familiar to him.
