(Xyra's P.O.V)

"We are what?" I gave an astonished look and fell to the floor. My mom had the brilliant idea to move from our hometown before I started high school. Why on earth did she decide that? I had no desire to leave, nor did I want to start a whole new school without Ezra.

"Baby you have to understand, we need a new start, it will do you good." I looked over and frowned. I didn't want a new start. I wanted my old life with my old friends.

I walked out and sat on the porch; this wasn't fair at all. I look up and see Ezra with a pack of cookies and water.

He smiles, "You got the news already huh?"

I take the cookies and nod, "It's a shitty decision, I don't want to start high school without you."

He gives me a small smile, the type of smile that you can't help but love, "How about a polaroid? We can each have one as a reminder, you know?"

"I think that would be an amazing farewell gift"

He pulls out his camera, "Make the silly face we always do" I stick my tongue out and throw a peace sign. He does the same and we are blinded by the flash.

I smiled with a bittersweet feeling, I really didn't want to leave, but I understood my mom's motive. This town had too many memories that I didn't hold dearly to my heart

"Let me see" I grab the picture and smile, my Ezzy. I laugh, even in situations of heartbreak Ezra came through. I wipe my tears and lay my head on his shoulder to savor our last moments together. A few minutes later my mom comes out and says it's time to go.

I look at Ezra and smile "I'm going to miss you so much, I promise I will come back, I don't know when, but I will come back." I say and pull him in for a hug.

"I'll be looking forward to that, don't change Xyra, I love you so much" He hugs me tightly and gives me a kiss on my forehead.

 "Bye Ezra"

 "Bye Xyra."

I walked up into the car and looked out the window, the sun was starting to set which painted a nice memory in my mind. I guess it would be a nice start. I'll be back before I know it.

"It's alright sweetie, you'll see him again one day. Plus, you can finally make new friends, you would always hang around Ezra." my mom tells me.

"Mom, try and understand, Ezra has been with me since I was a little baby," I tell her, already feeling the tears threatening to fall.

"I know darling, it's just.... Forget it, let's go?" she asks.

"Let's go" and we start our journey.
