(Xyra's P.O.V)
~Present Time~
"Mom please! It would be a good addition to the family. Plus, I will take care of her. I promise" I beg my mom. I had a cat in my hands and a very concerned mother.
"Xyra, you don't even take care of your grades'' I scoff "I am a very good student".
She laughs, "Yeah with 70s, but fine one shot if you mess up, she leaves."
I jump from the couch and start dancing. "Oh yuh, I have a cat!" I laugh and look at her, "Your name shall be Venus'' She just stares at me silently and meows. "I'll take that as a yes''
I'm sitting with her when I hear the doorbell. "Coming!" I say and open the door. I see Liam dressed up with flowers. "Hmmm what do we have here?" I ask and look at him and my mom.
He laughs, "I actually came for both of y'all. A little bonding moment." I look at him and raise my eyebrows.
"Just what are you planning Mr. Ramirez?".
"A surprise, now go get ready" He shook me off and I go get ready. Once I'm done, I come down in a simple maroon dress with a fishtail braid. I had some light makeup and some flat shoes. My mom was dressed a little bit fancier.
We arrive at a fancy restaurant, and I look at Liam. "What are we celebrating?" He smiles, "Something amazing if all goes well"
"Hm" I say, and we go inside.
We sat down and food was brought to us immediately. "I hope you don't mind, I ordered for us in advance so we wouldn't have to wait."
"I fall for you more each day" I hear my mom say and she kisses Liam on the cheek.
I laugh, "Let's eat now"
~after dinner~
"Yeah, so then I kicked him no biggie" I say and my mom stares at me in shock.
"What? Come on he had no right telling me that" I roll my eyes and Liam laughs.
"I'm on your side don't worry" I smile and look at him,
"So, what's the big surprise?" His mood shifts and he looks at my mom.
"Natalie Mendes, meeting you was the most amazing experience I have had. From the time I wake up to when I go to sleep, you're on my mind" he takes a box out from his pocket, and I instantly knew.
"Natalie, Will you marry me?" I look at my mom and see tears in her eyes.
"YES!" She runs up and hugs him.
I start giggling and look at them with happiness. They look over and hug me, "I'm getting married!" I laugh "Yes mom you are" I smile and hug her tightly. We walked out the restaurant with them practically glued to each other. I look at the stars and smile, I hope I have my happiness like them.
