"Amelia, wait!" I screamed as she ran away. "I didn't mean it! I love you!"
She stopped in her tracks and turned around.
"You love me?" she said, her voice accusing.
"Yes"
"Then why did you say that? Why did you tell her you had no idea who I was? That you've never seen me before?"
"I panicked?"
"TJ Ryan, I never want to see you again."
