Amelia P.O.V.
"Please!" My sister screeched in my ear bring me back to earth.
"What?!" I asked her rubbing my offended ear to try and dull the now throbbing ear drum.
"Can I come with you?" She opened her eyes as wide as she could, and tried to smile innocently.
I was not buying it.
"No."
"Awwww, why?" She whined.
I stood up and caried my plate to to the kitchen. "Don't you have your own friends to do things with Elise?"
She pouted. "They never do fun stuff."
I gave her a deadpan look. "You went ice scating. I'm going on a picnic, don't you think that's a bit boring?"
"I'm eleven, not three." She glared back at me. "And your friends are fun."
"Yes, and they're my friends. So, no."
"But-"
"No." I needed to leave. "Mum tell her I say no."
"Leave your sister alone honey. She needs to go." Mum called from the kitchen.
Elise poked her tongue out at me and stalked off.
"Bye honey!" Mum yelled.
"Bye Mum!" I grabbed my bag and keys to my bike. Shoved my feet into my jandels. And set off down the street.
Please let Sam be there, please let Sam be there, please let Sam be there.

When I pulled up at Meadowberry Park the majority of my friends were already there.
There were a few other groups of people there. Mostly birthday parties. And we picked a corner quite few away from everyone else.School had only finished a week and a half ago, but we were chatting like we hadn't seen each other in months.
I sat down between Leah and Micheal. Partly because Leah had a huge crush on Micheal which he didn't return, and I could feel the awkwardness radiating off him. And partly because I knew that that would be the best place to hear gossip but not have to contribute to it.
I gave Leah a hug (Micheal doesn't really like to be touched) and was pulled into her conversation with Hannah and Kasey. They'd just come back from an Ed Sheeran concert, and were sporting matching hoodies.
Apparently it wasn't as good as Twenty One Pilots though. I wouldn't know, the only concert I've ever been to was a winery tour. I am however, the only one of my friends who can say they've seen Dave Dobbin live.
Next to them sat Samantha, Emma and Sasha, making up two thirds of a circle.
A few minutes later Lydia, Logan, Sam, Maria (Mare) and Amelia (yes, there's two of us) arrived with the pizzas. We'd pooled money before school ended.
Before I could ask her Amelia whispered. "Yes, I brought it." As she passed me.
They passed the pizzas out and Amelia and Lydia dumped their bags with Logan and Mare who filled in the gap that'd been left, and snuck off behind some trees to light the candles on the cake they'd made.
Hannah and Kasey were giggling and gestured for Leah to move over so that Sam sat next to me. I shot them a glare. And tried to slow my breathing.
"Okay, I think we should share the real reason we're here today." Samantha said suddenly from across the circle.
"Yeah," Emma agreed. "Happy Birthday Sasha!"
Sasha gasped and on cue we all began singing and Emily and Lydia came out from the trees with cake.
A few mouthfuls of cake later she seemed to have gotten over her shock.
"You guys are awesome." She hugged Emma and Samantha on either side of her.
We all grinned. Any excuse for a party.
"Okay," Having finished her cake and half her pizza Kasey stood up. "Truth or Dare?"
"Yes!" Hannah, Samantha and Eva chorused and then laughed.
