Sein's POV

" Do you understand now? " Doyoung nodded with a bright smile on his face. We're now in the library since our upcoming exam is nearing.

I closed my book, " I'll get going now. " He nodded with a smile before looking back down at his book.

I packed up my belongings before swinging my back over my shoulder and walking out of the library. I walked past the sports hall and heard the sound of someone dribbling the basketball.

Out of curiosity, I peeped my head into it.

" Ouch. " I winced in pain as the ball smacked against my face. When it fell onto the floor, I opened my eyes gradually to see Haruto with his jaw dropped.

He finally came back to reality and he ran over. " I'm really sorry! " He said, looking at me apologetically. I shook my head with a reassuring smile.

" Please don't tell Doyoung, he might remove me from the team. " I chuckled.

" What? Why would he do that? " I asked, bursting into laughter as Haruto just stared at me feeling a little awkward.

He scratched his nape, " You're his girlfriend. "

Right.

But you're the one that I like.

" No biggie! I'll never tell him. Take this as a secret between the both of us then! " He nodded with a smile that could heal anything.

I looked around to see an empty sports hall with no one in the room except for Haruto and the ball.

" Why are you here alone? " He looked around before smiling awkward, a little hesitant to say the reason behind it.

I chuckled awkwardly, " It's fine if you don't want to say i- " He shook his head with a blank face plastered on his already blank face.

" I'm not very good in Korean so I want to be a player that can at least help the rest using my skills. " My heart almost broke, it's such a beautiful story.

He stared into space for a moment before his eyes lit up and his once straight lips formed into a wide, nicely curved smile.

He held my wrist and dragged me to the middle of the basketball court.

My heart was racing even quicker when we made physical contact. Now that I think about it, without the title Doyoung's girlfriend, we wouldn't even talk much.

He smiled, " Can you take a video of me doing a dunk? I want to send it back to my family in Japan. " A warm smile appeared on my face as I nodded.

It really warms my heart that he thought about his parents and wanting to make them proud by doing a dunk. He's really such a nice boy.

Too much for the cruel world.

He got into shooting position and I pressed the recording button. He shot a smile into the camera that killed me, just saying before he ran while dribbling the ball.

As he was about to reach the hoop, he jumped and dunked the ball into the hoop. He landed on the ground again with a proud smile.

I stopped recording and ran over to him. " That was so cool! can you do it again? " He looked at me, with his usual blank expression.

" That's the first time. I don't know if I can do it again. " I nodded, as I passed him his phone with a smile and he took it over, watching the video over and over again.

Watching him being proud of his own accomplishment made me proud liking him.

Doyoung's POV

I packed my bag and walked out of the school gates with my bag on my shoulders. My stomach grumbled in the quiet night, so it pretty much enhances the sound.

I gulped, as I walked to the nearest dining area.

A smile appeared on my face as I spotted a well lit area near the school. I rushed in and saw a guy with apron by the counter, yawning.

" I'd like a kimchi fried rice! " I said with a smile and his face lit up almost immediately.

Suddenly, he squinted his eyes. " Yes? " I asked but he simply shook his head with a reassuring smile.

I walked over to an empty seat. I started watching the recent my all time favorite anime, Kuroko's basketball.

" Is that Kimchi fried rice I smell? " A familiar high pitched voice screamed. I turned around to see someone wearing Shin Chan pajamas with a towel over her head.

I brushed it off, not thinking much about it.

Suddenly, the aroma that is to die for got stronger and I turned behind to see the same guy serving a plate of nicely coated plate of kimchi fried rice.

My eyes widened as I put into my mouth the first mouth of rice. " It's so good! " I exclaimed, showing him a thumbs up and he simply smiled.

" Are you a basketball player? " I nodded.

" How do you know? " He points at my shorts and I looked down, realizing that I didn't change out of my basketball shorts.

He smiled as he took a seat beside me. " I really like basketball too and was also in the school team. " He seem to really like basketball.

" Why did you stop then? " I shoved another mouthful of rice into my mouth. When I looked up, his once cheerful smile faded away.

I felt a sense of guilt, " I'm really sorry. " He shook his head with a warmth smile.

" I hurt my knee when I over-strained my leg during a game. " I stared at him, to see his eyes glistening with sorrow. It's filled with tears.

I passed him a piece of paper towel, " So the coach told me to quit the team, or else I'd have difficulty walking in the near future. "

He let out a deep sigh, " But the past is in the past so there's so point dwelling over it. " He smiled brightly once again.

He ruffled my hair, " Please play well on my behalf. I was in the same basketball team as you too. " My eyes widened, so he was the really good player that all seniors were talking about.

" This plate of rice shall be a gift from me to you. " I shook my head but he simply ignored me.

" What's your name, little one? " He asked me.

" Kim Doyoung. " I said with a grin and he nodded, showing his dimple. He smiled brightly before introducing himself.

" I'm Lee Byounggon. "
