Chapter 6

*2nd Period: Reading/Writing*

Cameron turns his desk to face me. "Are you not gonna move your desk," Cameron said rudely. "sorry can I have a little time to adjust to what just happened." He stood up and grabbed my desk and attached it to his. "your welcome." "I didn't say thank you."

He rolled his eyes and said,"So what did you do this summer." "uh.. I went to Student Council Camp, went to the library, and oh yeah I moved to this microwave of a state called California," I said with a smile at the end. "what did you do?"

Cameron answer, "You know what I did!! I do it every night.. Party,Drink,Smoke, Have sex-"

"Okay,okay," cutting him off

So that's all you did?"

"Yeah pretty much babe," he said with a wink.  My stomach fluttered at the word babe and the wink but I had to be strong. "first of all don't call me babe and second I think you need different hobbies."

"Said the buzzkill! For crying out loud you just listed all the reason why you are a nerd!" Before I could argue back Mrs. Robin said,"okay class for the next 30 minutes you and your partner will talk about the first project y'all will do, which is find a book y'all both like and do a book report. Then you will present it to the class. Okay, if you have any questions come talk to me. It will be due in one month." I couldn't believe 20 minutes, it felt like 20 seconds. It is august 25th... that is way too long to be with this idiot.

"What book are we doing," he asked immediately after she stopped talking. "well it's going to be hard for us to find a book that we both like." "no. you pick the book, tell me what it's about, write the paper, and I take the 100." "How do you know I would get a 100?" "Babe, the lame people are the smart ones. Anyway, but I'm not a book reader so-" "why else would you be in AP if your not a book reader." He leaned in so close I could feel his breath on my lips. "Meet me at my house with some books," he smiled and pulled away.

The bell rang with a piercing sound. I thought where is the teacher when all of this happened and that was a quick 30 minutes.
