Ch 4: The Four Of Us

Hinata's POV

I parked my bike outside the house and went inside.

- - ! !

"Nii-chan! Play! Play with me, Nii-chan!" Natsu, my little sister pleaded while hugging my legs.

I laughed, sweating a little. "Nii-chan has to text with his friends, okay?"

"Friends?? Nii-chan, Natsu wants to meet new friends!"

"A-ah okay."

My Room | 7:30 PM a.k.a Natsu's curfew

I picked up Natsu, settling her under the blankets as I sat beside her with my phone, preparing a video chat with the 2nd years.

"Shh, Nii-chan. Mom will be angry at you if she knows you're still awake!"

"!!?" Say that to yourself, little sister!

It's ringing.

[T: Shrimp.]

"Huh!? Damn it, Tsukishima! Why's your face the first thing to appear!?"

[Y: Tsukki is usually on his phone.]

"No wonder why his eyes are sore. Serves you right, you giant- -" I closed my mouth, realizing Natsu was with me.

[J: Huh? Hey, who's that? A girl version of you?]

"Junyeon!"

[J: Eugh, so short like you.]

[T & Y: Pfft--]

"Hey! I'm- - I'm growing!" Natsu huffed, grabbing my phone.

"Woa- -"

[J: Heehh, exactly like your brother.] Junyeon sneered from the screen.

"Grr! Just wait until I grow taller, you twig!" I hissed.

[T: Oh God, and a new idiot duo is born. I have a feeling you guys will be much more trouble than the former idiot duo.] Tsukishima sighed.

[J: Huh? Who's he talking about?]

[Y: Kageyama and Hinata. They used to fight over small stuff like right now.
Hahaha, it feels weird remembering those days now that Kageyama's gone.]

I scratched my cheek, "Yeah, kinda weird."

Junyeon stared at me from the screen.

[J: Don't you miss him? Don't the three of you miss him?]

[T: Hah? No. What's the use of missing someone you barely got along with?]

Junyeon scrunched his nose, thinking hard.

". . ." I couldn't say anything. I didn't know what to. .

[Y: It's Hinata you should be asking that.]

"Eh- - ? Me? Well, I. . He is- - I mean, was my partner and a frenemy, overall he's so mean but. ." I closed my eyes, remembering my memories with him and smiled gently.

"He's a good person."

[T: Even though he left the team after declaring something so important. It's pathetic to have him go just like that.]

"! !"

[J: Declaring something important before leaving? What did he say before he- -]

I grabbed the phone from Natsu and sent her back to her room before interrupting quickly.

"I-It's not important! It was his choice! We couldn't get on his way, I'm sure that Kageyama's more content with his new team right now. Um.."

I looked at Tsukishima's face from the screen, his looks said 'What's the point of hiding the truth?'

[J: Was he content with you guys?]

"Ka-Kageyama is a guy who would adjust to any team quickly. He's amazing but I can't help but feel he'd be much better off with a much more stronger team. I don't mean it to make him look like a bad teammate but he just gives off that kind of vibe." I muttered.

Junyeon looked at me silently.

[J: . . . Hm, if I don't know the guy then I won't talk about him anymore. Besides. . .]

He smirked from the screen.

[J: Ya'll got me now!]

"! ! !"

I blushed slightly, he's cool.

Even though getting left behind by my partner and adjusting to a new one might be hard. .

It doesn't mean that I won't fail

I smiled back, "Yeah! We're teammates now and we're gonna prove it to everyone!"

From the corner of my eyes, I daw Tsukishima and Yamaguchi smiling.

That's right, just because things have changed, it just means that we'll be feeling and discovering new things and get stronger or weaker but somewhere beyond that scenario is a feeling that we'll all be playing volleyball together, contentedly and win no matter what it takes.

Love , Hate

Win , Lose

Stay , Go

Remember , Forget

Cry , Laugh

Kageyama, no matter how stronger you're gonna get. .

I'll catch up. . but not by myself.

I have my teammates- - friends  here with me.

Kageyama. .

I'm tired of fighting you by myself. This time, I'll get stronger and get help and trust my friends with me.

That's a promise!
