Chapter 4: Pool Party

Summer POV

"How long have you live here?" I asked sam.

"We have lived here all of our lives" sam said handing me a soda.

"Thanks" I said taking a sip of the delicious beverage.

"So about your brother?"

"Do you like my brother or something"

"No, it's just he is so sweet"

"Well, that the first" she said taking up a nail polish off the coffee table.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean my brother is a good brother, but when it comes to girls, he is the opposite of sweet, I can't even repeat what they said about him"

That was a warning from having a crush or any romantic feeling for this guy.

"Speaking of the devil" Sam said as Hunter walked through the door.

"You guys have been talking about me" in a joking manner.

"How big can your head get"

"Not much bigger than yours" It must be nice to have sibling.

"Come on, let's go up to my room, where we can't be disturb"

"Wait, I want to ask Summer, to my pool party tomorrow"

"She is already coming with me, beside she doesn't want to hang with a bunch a guys"

"There will be just me and some girls"

"She doesn't what to hang with your hôèś" Sam said pulling me upstairs.

"I'm not one of your hôèś" I said to Hunter as I went upstairs with sam, and leaving him on scene.

"This one, perfect" I said, looking at the blue 2 piece bikini with pink and yellow stripes.

"Yea, you look really hot and don't worry, my brother will notice you"

"I wasn't thinking about him"

"Says the girl who asked what's his favorite color, after I told you it was green, you insisted on wearing that hideous bikini, not even bid bird have that much feathers"

"Maybe I like him a little" I said laying down on Sam's bed.

"Just don't act on them, my brother is a player"

"Ok"

"Let's go, we have been up her for too long"

We walked down the stairs, to the pool in the back where there is was about 50 teenagers from our school, where mingling and drinking punch.

"Hey look at the hottest girl at this party" Paul said as we walked through the front door.

"Paul, why don't you get a life and stop hitting on every life thing that pass through this door" sam said walking over to the rest of her friends.

"I wasn't talking to you" Paul shouted but Sam didn't hear him or at least what I though. "I was talking to Summer here" he said facing me.

"Thanks Paul" I said giving him a hug, then I realize Hunter was here, and that's why here.

'I like him, but don't act on them' I keep saying in my head. As I gave Liam a hug, then Seth then Louis. Then there was Hunter behind Louis, I froze didn't know what to do. He just stand there seeing what I'm going to do. I know if I hug him, I'm going to feel that where connection, that I feel every time we touch. But it would be rude to hug his friends and not him.

"Come on, Summer, let's go mingle" Paul said pulling me from the whole not know what to do. I don't know if I was relieved or sad that I didn't hug him.

Hunter took his eyes off me and started siping his punch, it was like he trying to avoid contact as Paul pulled me away.

Me and Paul talked all night, well Paul talked and I listened, I mean I wanted to leave being the goody two-shoes I was I didn't want to hurt his feeling. I mean not even once did he called my name or I said something, he just cuts me off. He is so narcissistic and my first party was a disaster.

Thanks to his car getting towed, I was able to escape him, but now it is only 6 people here. Hunter, Sam, me, Seth,Liam and Louis.

The boys was in corner talking and making jokes and we was picking up the the red cups.

Last one, finally.

"You want to go for a swim?"

"Sure" I said.

"Guys, you want to go for a swim?" Is she crazy, I thought she met us two.

"Yeah, sure" Seth said doing a cannonball in the pool and the boys followed.

"Come,on" they said after the came up.

"You ready?" I said to sam and she nodded.

I holder her hands and ran towards the end and jumped in a ball position. I went under the water which was really warm, I swim up for air and see sam came up right after.

"So who want to play Marco and Polo" Liam said.

"Sure but let me check if that my mom" I said, hearing my phone ringing.

"I'll be back, too, I have to do something" Hunter said getting out of the pool right behind me. I ran to my phone, which was on the kitchen counter.

To see the caller ID and it wasn't my mom. As I was going to head back to the pool, Hunter said "we need to talk"

"About what?"

"About you ignoring me"

"I'm not ignoring you, I'm just keeping my distance" I said with honesty.

"Why"

"Why do you even care if I keep my distance, I'm just your sister's friend" I said turning to walk back to the pool. Then Hunter grab my hand. I was so confused.

"Because I like you" he said rubbing the back of his hair nervously, it so cut to see him not confident for once.

"I like you too that's why I have to keep my distance cause I know your history with girls" I said walking back to the pool, leaving him on the spot once again.

When I got to the pool, I was in no mood to swim.

"Sam, I'm going home, my mom came"

"Ok bye" she waved.

"Bye guys" I said.

"Later" they said.

I grabbed my phone and wrapped my self up in my towel.

"You're leaving?"

"Yea"

"Let me walk you home"

"Sure" I said opening the door.

I just want to say you shouldn't judge someone by rumors, yes some of them are true, I'm a player. But you didn't get to know be in other to my your own judgement"

"I guess, I didn't want to take a chance of being one of the girls you put on your arm and that's it"

"When I said I like you I meant it"

"And I meant it too, how I make it up to you, we can go to the beach tomorrow"

"Ok" he said with a kiss on my cheek.
