What Did You Have in Mind?

Maddie’s P.O.V.

I woke, strong arm wrapped around my waist as I was pressed against a hard chest. Glancing around the unfamiliar room, the inhaling the scent of Liam’s cologne. Musk, and drier sheets.I sighed as it slowly filled my nostrils. The bright red letters of the clock on the bedside table illuminated the room, reading ‘5:54’. 

Shit… I was due to help Lou make dessert in six minutes. I shifted softly to face Liam, as he pulled me closer into his embrace. 

“Li.. Li… Li! Liam!” He shot up from the bed, unraveling his arms from my waste looking around in confusion. 

“What’s wrong? Are you okay? What time is it?”

“It’s about five to six, and I’m supposed to be at Lou’s at six to help with dinner.” Nodding he got up and walked out of his bedroom. Confused and still half asleep I slowly got up and walked towards the bedroom door. 

“Your shoes are in the living room.” was yelled from the door. I scrambled down the hallway to the living room and slipped into my black Vans. I walked towards the entrance not knowing where Liam had gone. A door slammed to reveal Liam coming from what I assumed was the bathroom, since a distinct toilet flush was heard. Without speaking he signaled for me to follow him. We walked out if his ‘flat’ and headed down to his car. He politely opened the car door for me. As we silently rode to our destination I decided to speak. 

“You are such a gentleman. You must really sweep your girlfriend off her feet.” 

“I don’t have a girlfriend at the moment.” I nodded slightly embarrassed. After more awkward silence I arrived at Lou’s house. 

“Thank you so much Liam. It was fun see you at eight.” I walked in to the flat and saw Lou walking towards Lux’s room. She turned when she heard me shut the door gently. She gave me a signal to be quite as she walked in to check on Lux. We walked towards the kitchen together and she told me to start the pie. I started crushing graham crackers and melting butter for the crust when Lou started asking questions. 

“So.. What did you guys do?”

“We watched a movie. Oh, wait it’s a ‘film’.” I corrected myself proudly 

“Are you sure that’s all you did?”

“We bought some snacks?” My words coming out more like a questions.

“Mmmm” Lou responded and started on something else. We conversed until the food was finished and we went to change into more presentable clothing.

I slipped out of my previous clothes and searched through my still unpacked suitcase for something presentable. I decided on pastel blue jeans, a light pink flowy tank top, and light pink flats. Slipping my hair from the previous messy bun, running my fingers through it. It cascaded down my shoulders in waves. Searching through my suitcase I found the jewelry I was looking for, quickly I slipped on some bracelets and a necklace with flowers on it. I proceeded to the kitchen and began to clean up a little, seeing we had left the kitchen a mess. My mind starts to wander, what if Liam thinks i’m weird? Did I snore? Wait why do I care what he thinks? Maybe just the snoring parts important… I was brought from my thoughts when the doorbell rang. On cue Lux began to cry signaling she had woken up. 

“Maddie, can you get the door and i’ll get Lux?” yelled Lou as she rushed to Lux’s room. I yelled back a quick okay and scrambled to the door. I turned the lock and pulled back on the handle, Harry and Niall stood with wine and bear in hand. I widened the door for them to come in, 

“Hello, how are you?” Harry asked as he gave me a hug. Niall then gave me a hug. 

“Are we early?” Niall questioned. We walked into the kitchen and they put away the beers opening  a bottle of wine.

“Nope, everyone else is just late.” I tried to make my self useful and searched for wine glasses. 

"There up there" Harry pointed out a shelf across the room. I blushed and took out a couple glasses placing them out on the table with a clink. We heard the door open and Louis, Eleanor, Zayn, and I think it’s Perrie walked in. We all said hello, and Perrie introduced herself. 

“Okay boys out of the kitchen it’s girl time” Lou shooed them out of the kitchen as she gave Lux to Harry. Niall took the beers and they went into the living room.
