Warning: mild cursing, because somebody's not a happy little demon ;-)

"Dean, just tell us. God dammit Dean, it's not just your ass on the line now. We have to help Cas!"

Being chained to an angry Sam Winchester is not fun.

Dean sighed, not wanting to go through this with Sam, yet again. He knew that the only way to save Cas was to find this person he'd failed most, but he didn't sure as hell didn't care! Cas could die for all he cared. Right?

Dammit, Sammy was way to good at messing with his head. It was making him way too close to feeling human emotions. Next he was gonna be crying and having friggen chick flick moments.

"Dean, if you're still in there, the real you, then fight this thing inside. You can do this. Please, we can't do this alone. Cas needs you. I need you." Sam's eyes were unnaturally bright, and tears were threatening to spill out. The pain, at seeing the thing his brother had become, at not being able to save him, was plastered on his face, like an open book.

Suddenly, Dean felt an ache, deep in his chest. A twisted, mangled little piece of humanity had uncoiled, unable to bear seeing his baby brother, the one he had tried so hard to protect all those years, in pain. Dean's humanity had overtaken the demon inside, locking it away, for now.

Dean sighed. It was good to be back in control of himself, without the Mark dictating everything he did. But he knew it was only a matter of time before the monster returned.

Dean had faced monsters for years, gone up against unbeatable odds. But this was one monster he could not beat. The odds were just stacked too high.

But Dean couldn't worry about that now. Right now, he had an angel to save.

"Let's go pay Ellen and Jo a visit."

Sorry it's so short, it's kinda a filler chapter, until the good stuff comes. Also, I'd love to know, how do y'all think this story's gonna end? I want to laugh at how wrong you all will be.
