1.

Like the winds that blew in the once flourished land,

That caressed every feather of the bird & my hair through every strand,

I too return to where I came from but now empty hand,

I am now what I was, all clay & sand.

2.

I am not to fade like the stars aloft,

Nor am I too weak to be blown away,

You may reckon that I am tender and soft,

But dare not think on me you can prey.

3.

Do not love me for you will suffer,

For I too will leave to wander in a land faraway,

In search of that one marvelous clover,

That will make up for all those tormenting days.

4.

Like these hallucinations I feed on,

& these clouds that surround me,

I see you standing far beyond,

Accompanying an enemy.

5.

My heart aches when I think of your sorrow,

Even deeper when I realize it's too late

I'm sorry none of your pain did I ever borrow,

Now I fear even worst awaits my fate.
