Chapter Five

"My bitchdar is going off" The dumb ass jock says in the passing time to lunch.

"Oh? Is it going off on yourself?" I snark back.

"You're gonna get it now bitch" He says taking me by the hair, which makes me lose my balance and he throws me into the locker.

"Bye bitch" He spits on my face then him and his posse walk away.

"You have to stop making those comments" Ms. Katie says walking up to me, helping me off the ground.

"Yeah Yeah" I groan. Plopping my aching body into a desk. I swear, I'm going to have a concussion.

"How was your break?" She asks

"Fine. I guess the boy and his father stayed too" I say feeling the phone vibrate on the desk.

"And?"

"And nothing." the text was from an unknown number 'hey'

"You were with a cute boy and nothing?"

I text back 'Who is this?' "You know me. Heart of ice." The bell rings. "See you soon"

"Bye!" She waves as I go to my next class.

'Ben' the number texts back.

Well, I'm going to maths now... So what? I'm not texting him back.

"You didn't text me back" Ben laughs from behind me.

I lean off the counter and look back at him. "Clingy girlfriend much? I was in maths then forgot"

He chuckles at my remark. "Nasty bruise" He points at the swell forming on my forehead.

"Yeah. Accidents happen accidently"

"This is Kayla" Dale Jokes "She got a scholarship for English lit"

"Accidents don't just happen accidently" Ben chuckles

"Dale! I am not even sure if I want to go to that college" I groan

Dale shakes his head "I wish I was your father, I'd beat your ass for saying that. I wish I could've gone to college when I was your age"

"Hey Benny!" the odd ginger sneaks up on Ben

"Danny" he growls don't scare me

"But I got bored and none of the guys wanted me during break"

"And you think I want you?" Ben jokes

"Yes" He pouts "Besides whos this babe?"

"Kayla" I jump in. "Friend of Dales"

Danny whispers something in Ben's ear causing him to playfully slap Danny's arm.

"Danny" Danny says offering his hand to me. I glance at it then shake his hand.

"Kayla..."

"Sexy"

"Danny!" Ben growls

"I've slept with girls you've hit before" Danny defends

"I didn't sleep with her"

"Mhmm keep telling yourself that"

"Guys. Really?" I say "Do I get a say in this non-fight since I didn't sleep with him"

"Is my Benny going on a sexual hiatus?" Danny teases

"Boys" Dale interrupts.

"Either way" I sigh "I have to go home."
