As I held my child in my arms I knew that Sarah was right. I needed to stop acting like things are going to be normal. I need to understand that I have a child, a family. And I needed to be careful of who I trust. I knew that I would protect this child.
The whole time I was holding this miracle in my hands I was thinking back to the day I said "My life will never be normal, maybe after this is done I can go back to something constant" Then Jessi said "Does constant mean Amanda?" and I looked at her and I said "I dont know what that is Jessi, I wish I could explain how I have feelings for 2 people at the same time" then Jessi said "You have feelings for me?" I said "Jessi how is that even a question" and then we kissed.
Tears filled my eyes. I then noticed Jessi waking up in the pod freaking out. I jumped up and handed the baby to Lori. I pulled the top off the pod. Jessi said "Where is she? Wheres Sarah?" I said "You named her Sarah?" She nodded. I pointed to Lori, she relaxed. I looked at Jessi and said "Your amazing you know that?" She smiled and said "No I didnt".
As soon as Jessi gained her strength back Nicole called us in there. Jessi had Sarah and playing with her. I looked at Nicole and she said "Jessi and Kyle. we have some rules now." We both nodded. She continued "Since Jessi has a baby now Sarah will stay with Jessi but Kyle you will have to get a job and a apartment now for you to". I nodded. Jessi looked up "So that means we can keep Sarah?" Nicole looked at her and said 'Of course Jessi but its your responsibility'. She nodded. I had never seen Jessi so happy before.
That day Nicole and Jessi went baby shopping for milk, clothes, a baby bed, a car seat. I had to watch Sarah so Lori was gonna help me with that. All Sarah kept doing was crying. I said "Lori what am i suppose to do?" Lori laughed "Kyle, rock her to sleep". I started to move my arms back in fourth as she started to quiet down. She soon after fell asleep.
It has been 2 hours since they left and i knew that Sarah was hungry. So I went to the kitchen and got some milk and warmed it up. I then put it in a bottle and fed it to her. After that Lori came in to burp Sarah. I heard Jessi come inside and say "Lori go check out Sarahs clothes, I want you to be the first to pick out her clothes okay?" Sh enodded and handed Sarah to Jessi. She looked at me and said "Tired?" I nodded. As I saw Jessi and Sarah I then fell into a deep sleep.
