Leon S. Kennedy x Female!Reader (Quick Kiss Goodbye)

(Y/N POV)

I was walking down the open road. It was quiet as I passed abandoned stores and warehouses alike. My (e/c) eyes scanned the area diligently. I would not let down my guard. After the explosion and the C-Virus being spread across the city, millions of people died. It was hell on Earth, just like Raccoon City. 

My eyes spotted a box shotgun ammunition and instantly rushed for it, being down to 3 shells left. I was about to grab it when I was met with someone else's hand going for it as well. Our hands touched and I looked up, only to meet a handsome young man with gorgeous baby- blue eyes and dark blonde hair, his hair fell over his right eye slightly and perfectly framed his face. His eyes met my (e/c) ones before he let the ammo go. I picked up the box but looked at him as if questioning his reaction.

"I wouldn't take something from a pretty lady." he answered as if knowing I would ask. 

I thought for a moment before smiling, "Why don't we split the ammunition? It's clear you need some just as much as I do." 

At this idea, he perked up and smiled back, "I guess that would be okay."

After splitting the ammo equally, we took our shares but stayed together. We ended up finding refuge in an abandoned hotel for the night. Though, I noticed that the man, who informed me his name was Leon, could not sleep. He ended up getting up after a few hours and walking out onto the balcony. 

"Can't sleep?" I asked, getting up and joining him.

"It was a rough day."

"Wanna talk about it?" 

He only shook his head and sighed. I looked at him but then looked at the scenery below.

"Do you ever feel like... you like someone, but.... no matter what you do, you're afraid you will hurt them?" Leon asked, instantly grabbing my attention.

"Yeah, but..... the guy I like doesn't like me back." I said, only to have him put his arm around my waist and look down at me. 

I was at a loss of words when his eyes met mine. 

My heart skipped a beat.

Then it happened. With a sudden, swift movement, Leon dipped me, as if we were dancing, and kissed me softly on the lips. My heart soared at the suddenness of it and I felt my cheeks heat up. I kissed back after a moment of hesitation and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

A few minutes passed before we had to pull away from the kiss, both of us out of breath and blushing like crazy. Leon touched his forehead to mine and smiled.

Unfortunately, the sweet moment was ended when we heard the groaning of infected people. As if on cue, we grabbed our gear and I gave Leon a quick kiss goodbye before we went off to kick some undead ass.
